Harsha says ground has 'big boundaries'. 69 and 70 square metre boundaries.
Big in an IPL context.

Same boat, was happy to watch the first 3/4 of the first innings as a late nighter, now I feel like we're not even going to start until nearly 2amWas looking forward to this match but it's getting too late now
10:45 Local Time, 14:45 GMT, 20:15 IST: Rohit has come out to have a look at the pitch. The players have started their warm-ups and the bowlers have started marking their run-ups. It looks all positive at the moment with the inspection postponed to 11:15 am
Yup exactly the same. Was happy to stay up until 2am, 2:30am MAXSame boat, was happy to watch the first 3/4 of the first innings as a late nighter, now I feel like we're not even going to start until nearly 2am
Gotta say t20 really highlights how slow the game is to return from rain delays. It's been sunny for 15 minutes or so, now we have to wait another 15 minutes for the umpires to inspect the pitch, THEN do the toss, THEN the players have to warm up and THEN the game starts.
What a cluster **** this WC has been.
From short turn around times to the weather. Most uninspiring WC for a while
Wish I could re-live the Ashes series last year. What a series that was.UAE was worse that was win toss win match despite us winning it was horrible to watch
Yeah but why can't we simultaneously do things - why can't we have them warming up for either eventuality of the toss, why do the umpires need to inspect the pitch then a toss several minutes later. It's all very old school formalities where everything happens in a specific order with breaks in between each task. It’s an outdoor sport and bowlers run ups have to be safe otherwise it can end very badly
Exactly. I'm sure they can do the toss under covers, so when the pick is ready, all teams are ready to go.Yeah but why can't we simultaneously do things - why can't we have them warming up for either eventuality of the toss, why do the umpires need to inspect the pitch then a toss several minutes later. It's not like if there's a risk of more rain, the captains won't know about it in modern times with rain radars everywhere. Just ****ing get shit done, even if the umpires get out there and say "yeah needs about 20 minutes to be safe" - rather than waiting on formalities to occur.Exactly. I'm sure they can do the toss under covers, so when the pick is ready, all teams are ready to go.
Yes but England aren't shit at t20sChoosing to bowl first against India didn't work out too well for Australia though.
What makes you think that? Giving the weather looks to be holding, would have thought as the heat picks up and the pitch/field dries up it should normalise?Pitch should get harder to bat the longer it goes
Good
