Pretty big pick ups for the hawks, I played with all these guys in Wodonga and Richo is a real talent either up forward or at CHB, can kick big bags of goals, travis knight is a bit of a freak with the footy and just keeps finding it all day. Beggs is tough as nails and works hard all day, will play anywhere he is needed too.
Good to see the Hawks pick up some decent players!

Heard he has been training, although he cant be to far off retiring, he must be getting on in age!!!

M. Semmler. Formerly played at Albury/Holbrook. I believe he sat the year out last year. Refer to the above response for comments.
 
Hargreaves knees are shot and is sick of being tagged every week (that happens when you get the Sherrin 40 times per game) but he will play on for one more year (he has said that for each of the last 4 years)
 
I heard alan murray has signed at the doggies too with derek.. any truth to this rumor?? heard cohen has been training with mitta, heard sam maher might be on the move to mitta to fill the vacant ruck postion..
 
Alan Murray will stay in Melbourne to continue his work with disadvantaged Aboriginal youth. Interesting post re Cohen on O&M thread last night - going to Raiders ?????

I understand that this is very much on the cards - seems odd given that he owns the Kinross pub with Thurgoona only up the road - yet is considering playing for a side miles away and in direct competition. I wouldn't have thought it was the best business based decision he could make.
 
well as a mitta man.... very true about conway... but cohen has been training with mitta... i have seen it with my own eyes...dont think danny has the time to play OandM..

It would be an extremely bad business decision. No-one could be that stupid could they ?

can garuntee Conway will not coach the doggies. From what i understand the coach they have now is definatley a long term prospect himself being only 26. Whisper is thurgoona officials a ropeable about him going to mitta. (could even boycott the Kinross for after matches). Interesting to see how that pans out. Any truth about a number of Dederang players joing barny ( Bradshaw being 1)

no Hargraves is not retiring but I did hear that he has been talking to another president in the tallangatta leauge so maybe he is on the move as he cant travel for long in the car because of hes dodgy knees and he isnt worth two bob anyway if you cant kick a footy
