you,re on the right track there kingpin, carlo negri was hooked up with wendy kennedy, would,nt be surprised if romano was as well. ha ha.
Ahhh it was Carlos was it? :)
Sounds like you might have heard the same stories I did about certain young ladies and the Dees reserves team from that era ;)

There will be the big comeback this saturday of Charles "Beauie" Beaumont for Old Scotch through the 2's this week against Evandale. Looking half fit too. Should be interesting!

Big Beauie is strapping on the boots again is he? I played with him at Friends for 2 seasons, he was the dominant player in the competition, if only he learnt to kick for goal. Some of you may remember him having a shot after the siren for Tas in their innaugral VFL season. He needed a goal to win and fell short (or kicked a point) i believe. Great fella too, the best scoller of beer I have ever seen...

Poential TAS side, backline could be in for some major strife, is there any other afl listed players ive left out?

B: Lonergan T. Grima Neville

hb: Wiggins A. Lee Isles

c: Sherman Holland Birchall

HF: Robertson Richo J. Reiwoldt

F: Laycock Brooks Hislop

fOLL: Street Rawlings Green

Int: Taylor, Thorp, Garland, ( now do we claim N. Reiwoldt & R. PETTERD)

He played at Friends after the VFL didn't he. I remember playing against him and every time he had a shot on goal he was reminded of that miss!

Was certainly one fo the better players at Friends at the time.

He played at Uni as well before the VFL I think.

I even believe he went from playing at Uni one season directly to the VFL the next season (when he went to Clarence).

I think he did yes. He started up north with Sth Launie, then came down for Uni, and dominated, then got picked up by the VFL team 9and played at Clarence when dropped), then decided he couldn't commit enough, then came to Friends. He used to average about 20-25 marks per game, and about 3.6 goals per game, and was constantly reminded of that miss. I think we only won 1 game that season, then the year after we won about 8, and then he moved back up north I believe.

"It would have to be Cressa."

Up against guys like Eade, Robert Shaw, Chris Fagan, Paul Hamilton, David Noble...all guys with some kind of runs on the board.

Bound to be a few more out there that I haven't thought of.

ok, so no real Devils bashing (apart from a rather amusing post in 'The Terraces'), but the man certainly seems to know his NBA, and I like a man who knows his NBA :thumbsu:

I'll think you'll find he came to Clarence in 2000 after being at Uni for a year in 1999 and was the ruckmen in Clarence's Premiership team that year.... The year before the Devils started. Played a fair few games for the devils in 2001 though.

He was a gun!! Never really noticed his kicking being bad but I can remember one day at Bellerive (I think Clarence were playing Devonport) the siren went for qtr time and Beauie had the ball at centre wing. He unloaded a big barrel that landed about 30 from goal but kept rolling and went through for a goal catching all the Devonport players off guard as they were walking back to their huddle. He was a real natural at any sport too especially drinking!!! He is a mad monday legend with more party tricks than a Clown from Silvers Circus!!!

How do you want me to prove it. I played 23 games over a 3 year period 1999, 2000 and 2001 and no i didn't play for Adelaide.

Answer this simple question:

Who did Ben Atkin give his number to when he retired from devils? How many games has this player played wearing Buckets number?:D

Answer me this question, monna?

What has happened to Matty Wilson?

Heard he got 3 weeks suspension v Kingborough which was about 6 weeks ago...

Amazing what they teach at Claremont High.

Let's not be too smart here, Son!

I recall the Mother of a former Claremont Primary classmate sending him to Dominic because she didn't want him educated at a Government High School.

This student's Private Schooling lead him all the way to those big grey buildings in Risdon Vale.

You know the one I mean Wilbur?

Hmmm, yes!

Good thing Ross took the boys out of Gagebrook or they could have ended up there too!

Matthew Wilson apparently has spat the dummy and is heading back to Mt Pleasant. The ODFA clearance deadline was yesterday so not sure if he made it back in time.

First off congratulations to Corny for his debut for the devils this weekend. Majestic will be proud. Second Kingpin or any of the other older guys, how good was his Dad. The father in-law was telling me, he was a good player but nothing outstanding.

Also Barge any chance the Big Orb picking up were he left of last week with his bag of 11.15?

Beamsy on Big Footy? And I thought Briers was the biggest name footballer that came onto Big Footy. How wrong was I!!!

Your father in-law's right from the bits I can remember of him playing, yeah :thumbsu:
Gave a good contest mostly without starring, played in battling New Norfolk teams of the mid-to-late 80's when they were down the bottom most of that era.
Good luck to the kid today.
