If we have the reco's and bad luck of 2012/ 13 then we are no chance in 2014/ 15, conversely if the hawks, Freo etc have similar bad luck next year then they are stuffed. Tippett after massive $$$'s was hardly the Savior for the Swans this year they expected. It will also be interesting to see how that close knit unit full of premiership players 12 months ago react in 2014 after the club sold their souls for Buddy. I'm sure they would all be rapt to be earning a pittance in comparison.

As stated keep the faith, after all who would have predicted Port would finish 5th at the end of the year after 2012?
Think we had few more injuries to key personal to u guys this year and still finished 4th and made a prelim and why was Tippett be our savior in 2013 when we won the Flag in 2012 , we got him so we could have a big target going forward ala Cloke and haven't had a FF since Hall

Finally sounds a bit more positive

"Meanwhile, despite no movement on the weekend and the appearance of a stalemate, Collingwood will release Heath Shaw to Greater Western Sydney in the coming days, while Taylor Adams will leave the Giants to become a Magpie."

More about WCE trade as well

That seems very positive doesn't it. Sounds like it will get done one way or another. Let's hope it's the straight swap option.

Lets start by talking long term injuries,

All of Krak, Ball, Keeffe, Toovey, Williams, Caf and johnson were out due to reconstructions.

They were out for major periods over the 2012/13 period and were trying to regain form and fitness to play at their best.

Add Daisy, Beams, Fasolo and Young to the list and there are 12 players that are either star quality or in our best 22.

All Yours!

Hard to know who to believe. Gullan from the Herals Sun is reporting that we are still a long way apart on the deal.

The Huns reporting has been like this:

Pies failing to budge on GWS trade request. Heath is certainly gone, so they have no bargaining power. GWS have others suitors to Adams in carlton, Geelong and Essendon.

They regularly fail to mention at that Heath is contracted, Adams is not. Heath Shaw also has other suitors in Essendon and Geelong. Also no mention how keen GWS are on Heater based on their $3.5 M for 5 year deal.

No doubt you can smell the bias in the various reports. If it falls over we will be blamed for our unwillingness to deal fairly by some, and lauded for standing our ground by others. Depends on the level of Pie hatred I guess.

It's balanced out by Emma quayles article.

Sort of what I was saying. You can smell the distinct different tones coming from the different organisations/writers.

Looks like its only matter of time before the deal is done

While the clubs are still haggling over whether there should be some sort of swap or two separate deals, there is goodwill among all parties concerned to get it done.
