Late to the conversation, but I really hope we're going after Adams hard; I like the little that I've seen, he's got some mongrel and equally importantly he's very sharp in close - if we could secure him it would be some form of poetic justice that the midfield rebuild will be based around a couple of expansion-team deserters given we lost the best player of this generation to the Gold Coast.

It's also great to take kids from the expansion clubs in the sense that they come somewhat fast-tracked, whereas our list contains some ridiculous number of players that have been around for 4-5 years but have played less than 30 games (this is what Chris Scott referred to at the BnF night). It will essentially help to address our list imbalance within the next 1-2 years - a relatively short time such that Selwood, Taylor, Hawkins?, perhaps even SJ and or Enright are still in their prime - while still acquiring players that have theoretically 10 years ahead of them.

IMO - It us and Pies. Pies board pretty much thinking it will be us and they are non too happy. After the word that GWS rejected TV, I expect to lose something I dont want to or a 3 way involving PA or Adel that gets GWS something they want....

As the trade period goes for a couple of weeks there is a real chance we wont see anything until next week but who knows, I dont think there is any specific time to announce trades, usually just when they are ready.

I would expect him to nominate a club today. It may take the 3 weeks to get the deal done though as often it can rely on other trades being made etc.

You would assume he'd say right "I wanna go to X" rather than have his agent call him up every day going "I've got a deal from X for 2 years at Y, or I've got a deal from A for 4 years at B" and so on and so on.

Very rarely does a player not get to his nominated club (Luke Ball is the only one I can really think of).
