100% correct except for the bit where Swallow got straight back up because the hit wasnt very hard.
Na he didn't actually, was in the hands of the trainers for a few minutes, then because he is a hard nut he went back on. If he had have hit let's say.... The Bont with that shot, the malice alone would have killed him.

He went back on? He never left the ground. And the trainers were there because a goal was kicked. As soon as play restarted he was off and running again.

And why Hodge got 3 weeks for hitting Swallow without hurting him, and 2 weeks for hitting Wingard without hurting him.

Right?

Its only because it was Hodge?

Not really. When you are guilty you get loading due to having a poor record - but Hodge, also got the assistance of the sychophants in the channel 7 commentary box telling everyone what a great guy he is the moment he hit Wingard.

Duryea on Ballantyne is probably 2 down to 1.

Anyone noticed who is the umpire there?
I understand Ballantyne have a bad reputation and all, but he was on the ground clutching his head.
The umpire took a look at him, and threw the ball up 10m away while he is still on the ground! Really?
I thought the head was important to the afl?

It is when the elbow hit him in the neck!

When the umpires don't think striking ballantyne is freekick worthy why should the mrp sanction a player for it? He's been set as fair game for a while now

I dont think this decision had anything to do with Hawthorn.

David Rhys Jones could make a comeback, belt Ballas and still get zero weeks.

I understand past sins and all that crap but you still need a level of fairness.

The funny thing is he cops it worse from the umpires.
Players can push and belt Ballas and nothing happens, the minute he even looks at a player it is a free kick.

I am now convinced the AFL have a seperate set of rules for Hayden.

Duty of care for the head only exists if you elect to bump going by the MRP. Any other situation where the head gets struck is okay. Cool

I thought it would be 1-2 for sure. You can't go around throwing your elbow back like that
Lindsay Thomas says Hi.
and then plays for one
