Why dont you take your stupid gif and your stupid smart arsery back under the Collingflog rock you slimed out of - eh? Clever trolling can be fun to read as banter - your sort of lamery - more pedestrian and boorish.

Smart arsery? lmao. You need to lay of the roids mate, was just genuinely putting in a valid comment. Leave yas with it.

Given most rebuilds take 6 to 7 years to mature is it premature sacking, maybe the instability of continual coach changes is why the Carlton of the world don't ever come into fruition.

Premature?

We just conducted an extensive External Review before any decision was made. What else would you have us do?

And we are still dragging this out. What a joke this is.

I honestly don't mind it actually, the board are actually giving Teague a chance an opportunity/chance why he should be kept on as coach, plus are not playing into the hands of the vultures in the media looking to dance on Teague's grave.

I think I was wrong/misjudged Sayers.
nd I am actually more hopeful Teague will keep his job now than I have been in weeks.

It ain't over yet by a long chalk folks.

I framed it as a question not definitive statement or it would of been it is rather then is it

I dont know what goes on behind closed doors at Carlton, but I do know constant coach changes never leads to anything positive long term.

Thanks for that, we’ll pass on the message to Pendles when he joins us in ‘22😎

Assistant at Carlton under who?

If he does he does. I hope Carlton get their shit together would be great to have us ess rich and Carlton up there in a finals series for once...

Ask yourself why was the club so forthcoming in making it so public? Why have the encouraged it to be played out in the media? What was the key outcome they wanted all along?
The key outcome is aligned to the focus of the review "to improve the footy dept."

I dont even know how you can say they encouraged the review to played out in the media, they expressly said that they wont provide ongoing commentary and will not make any decisions public until it is completed. The media are responsible for the drama because it is exactly what they need to create to keep their jobs!!!

The issue many of us have is whether the review of the footy dept is going to be sufficient given that many of us see problems with the board as well.

I personally have no clue how the board functions, and will have to leave to others who know more!

Lets see what the outcomes of the review are before we shout about tokenism!

We could discuss how sacking a coach without a viable replacement doesn't lead to anything positive either. I should duck over to your board and start giving some lip.

I'm sure if you genuinely meant to frame it as a question you would have used one of these guys - a ?

I hope if we spend the next 20 years in the wilderness and continue to do what doesn't work you do!

I've read that 3 times and still have NFI what you're on about. Go back to your board, you're drunk.

But it was 100% without a shadow of a doubt Lyons job next year wasn't it 🤔

What's the hurry, season starts in 6 months

I agree with this.

If the findings were announced today and Teague sacked shortly thereafter the media would be screaming about the review having preordained outcomes and being nothing more than a charade.

Sayers' letter for me shows they are following a proper process, that is they are going to discuss the review findings with the footy department first and then make the necessary public announcements after that.

Just because the release of information from the club is not feeding the media's immediate need for more news on this topic doesn't mean the Board are making a mess of the process.

Yeah but even if Teague goes the next coach needs time. I think the expectation of a miracle cure coach that will turn the club around in under 3 seasons is part of why you guys never fully come up.

Nearly all premiership coaches over last 15 years are there for 6 to 7 years or longer (MM 10 years) before donning.
Hardwick, Thompson and MM were all almost sacked before winning one after being backed in.

pretty simplistic extrapolation, and frankly done to death here and elsewhere.

I hope Carlton get their sh*t together would be great to have us ess rich and Carlton up there in a finals series for once...

It would be great. But perhaps you should worry about how in sweet jesus' name Collingwood is playing finals anytime in the foreseeable future.

I for one will be very interested in seeing which players are going on the reverse auction block this year's trade week.

Smart money says the chalk is not particularly long.

As much as I dislike the little shit, Clarkson is the key. His game day nous is worth three or four extra wins a year. Probably more with three (soon) all Australians in the spine.

Even for Carlton it would be insane to sack Teague before talking to Clarko, which by all reports is going to be in the next few days. How stupid would it look to make the sacking and not have a credible replacement?

Lyon maybe less so, but you'd still want to have him locked in before an announcement, if he is what the board wants - and that doesn't happen until after you've spoken to the midget.

I feel for Teague. His record at this point of his senior coaching career is better than both Clarkson and Hardwick had at the same point in theirs. But the last few weeks has just underlined how good Clarko is. Hawthorn have played out of their skins in the last few weeks, and Clarkson has coached like a genius. Another team, another coach, they could have been flogged by 100 points a week after the succession debacle.

Yeah we aren't doing much the next few years either. But it's typically 7 year cycles to a GF for us.

Maybe we need an no opposition supporter prefix for this

If the club knew Clarkson had agreed to coach us, Teague would have cleaned out his desk already.

He is not coming to us and the Cult of Clarko fan boys on this board need to accept that fact.
