Not nearly as many as some. He played 1 game last year.

He's been in good form throughout the pre-season playing back and forward. We may well need that.

i reckon we would be better going for a stronger player like mr.sunbury at full forward he can take a big mark aswell. maybe depending on johns fitness he could get a run

I would play Reynolds. we need to see if he is going to make it. I would like them to give him 6 consecutive games (if his body can handle it) and also roughly decide where they think he should play. A criticism I have of us over the past few years is we havent settled some of our younger players.

Agree. It worked for Stanton, Lovett and Bradley last year.
Dyson to a certain extent.
Monfries and Watson this year.

He's on the list, his form has been good. Give him a run.

its quite simple
if we play reynolds we lose

What an ordinary thing to say.
Based on what?

Last time Reynolds played on Anzac Day we won.

cause there are other blokes who deserve a go first)nash, lonergan, dyson)
and he always seems to get knocked off the ball why to easy.
don't see why m.j couldn't play f.f (like mark williams does for hawthorn)

How does Nash and Lonergan deserve a go ahead of him?
Longergan didn't play VFL last week.
Nash has been anything from outstanding throughout the pre-season, likewise Dyson. Although Ricky did have a good VFL game last week.

Reynolds form has been as good as or better throughout the pre-season and the first two VFL games as any of those you mentioned.

He probably could. I'm not suggesting Joel should play at FF.

would you throw courtney johns straight in this week if he passes a fitness test?
he had good pre season form?

Ryder at half back on a midget?
No JJ, Campo?

The only reason I have Ryder in is because Boltons out! I didnt realise Thomas was that small, but if that's the case Id play NLM on Thomas and put Ryder on T Cloke. He might be alright as a backman where he can use his leap. Plus Cloke shouldn't outweigh him by much if at all. Also Ryder isn't that bad of a runner is he? At least he will have a job to do and not get lost out there.

JJ, would be in if his at least 80% and either in the backline (though Welsh and McVeigh and probably Slattery will have those areas covered. He could also play him off the bench through the midfield. I don't think JJ is accountable enough nor the engine to play in the midfield for too long, but obviously Sheeds will pick him and we will see how he goes

Campo, did not impress me at all last week and I couldnt put him in the side ahead of any of our young on-ballers. He will also no doubt play and I hope he suprises me.

Longy what is it u know about Johns playing? Is it definite? If so Id definitely put him at FF instead of Cartledge, which is also unlikely.

Also, what do u think of McPhee on Tarrant and Fletch on Rocca? Is it likely?

Dyson probably, Nash doubt it, Lonergan has a fair way to go. If anyone thinks that Reynolds is the difference between winning and losing then they are foolish. Playing reynolds is about rewarding fair form and list management. Is he a chance to be a member of our next premiership team?

Thomas is tiny but dangerous. I doubt NLM will go to him either.
Slattery is a good match up for him.

He does have good pace for a big man, I'm not sure he has the discipline in his game to play down back though.

JJ just isn't match fit and will get better every week. He is probably 2 weeks away from being back at 100% but playing him at Bendigo isn't going to do him any good. He is going to give us more playing off a bench than his likely replacement would.

He didn't have a great game, in fact he hasn't been all that great in his three games. Yet he hasn't been that bad, I wouldn't drop him just yet.
I know when he came to the club, playing on Anzac Day excited him, he his a big game player.

I reckon both will play at Bendigo this week.

Fletch will play at Full-Back. Which means most likely Rocca.
I think Solly is more likely on Tarrant but McPhee could do the job.

more than likely fletcher will go to rocca. mcveigh will go to didak. slattery or welsh will most likely go thomas. i think winderlich will stay in the team and tag leon davis. he has the pace and has done it before. solomon will most likely go to tarrant but i am not sure how he will go. mcphee may start forward or go to one of there other talls like fraser or t cloke. bradley will go to the other tall.

dyson and hille will be back in for the obvious injuries. is there any other possible inclusions. i would not play johns as i dont think he will be 100% and will be too predictable.

is peverill a chance to return? will reynolds be selected for his good form? will they choose cartledge so him and ryder can ruck and hille can be stationed at FF? if more than 2 players do come in who goes out? is there anybody else that could be dropped other than winderlich who imo did not play that bad last week?

keepzitreal said:
do we really need to tag Leon Davis? Havent watched any magpie games. Has he been in great form or something?
no but he is a dangerous forward that is really quick. we will already have mcveigh on didak so who else in the team can play as a small defender that is quick without upsetting the midfield.
