Yeah this Richmond melt really is a thing of beauty and I encourage everyone to look in the excuses thread BB linked above for a summarization or just go directly to their board.

You won’t be disappointed. :thumbsu:

Round 3 - A contender emerges...

You know, I thought that Hawfs would be hard to beat after round 2.

I am man enough to admit when I might be wrong...

I present to you Richmond Football Club. Basically everything that you remember about them pre 2017-2017 dynasty is now well and truly resurfacing and we are basically an #eco trending of reliving history.

Although this topic is currently being discussed in a different thread - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/richmond-excuse-thread.1215433/page-5#post-60254992 - I do believe that they have well and truly earned a nomination for round 3, thus drawing your attention here in this thread.

For those who want their milk straight from the tit check out the Dustin Martin or "Gloves are off! It's us versus THEM! threads trending on the Tugger safe space.

I eagerly await the OP's update.

Mofra
As embarrassing as the Hawf board was last week it was a pretty straightforward umpire meltdown (albeit a thermonuclear one), the Tiggers however are going in every direction at once.
Injuries! Losing! Suspensions! A player being tagged!!!!!!
Multimelts as far as the eye can see- im going to buy shares in microwaves and start shopping for a yacht.

You speak the truth. Check out the below, by a Bay identity.

As i posted in the Tan, people who know me i have a real low threshold for dickheads etc. In fact i just wish we could all get along and be nice to each other, but, what can you do when a system or organisation is so corrupt and your club is just a number?
I actually wonder, what could the AFL do, if we just made our crowds as hostile as the Geelong final every week? If we just boo'd the shit out of all the AFL officials, umpires, opposition, what could they do? It's not as if we aren't getting ****** anyway? Umps have ****** us for years - the stats show that. We clearly aren't darlings of the AFL and get no favours in anyway. Benny and Peggy (god bless their souls) are good corporate pc citizens. Sure, they'll register their displeasure in a courteous and professional manner through the chain of command, and you know what? NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. Why? Because, the AFL doesn't GAF about us. We are just a well oiled revenue stream for them. But, if on every broadcast you could hear the boo's, every radio broadcast, hear the boos, talkback radio, just flood it with negative talk about the AFL. Twitter and social media platforms, flood it with protest. It will seem amusing at first, but, if we go hard enough for long enough, the joke will wear pretty thin. And i don't think advertisers etc will like it too much. So, i think it's time to really register our thoughts for the rest of the year. Why not. **** us? No AFL, **** you. Who's with me?

Why no mention of the Puffers? They exploded on Saturday night after Hodge's boys killed their easy unbeaten run.

There can only be one winner this week - a team where many of their supporters are calling for the immediate delisting of more than 10% of their list (all senior players) and something something umpire conspiracy something something AFL conspiracy (after having the easiest GF run in history in 2017 - 3 home games).

Richmond, come on down.

Have you witnessed the scenes on the tuggers board?

I'd say worse than Bombers drug scandal melts.

This won't be topped in the next decade let alone by this weeks puffers.

Hello Bay,

Given how much we all loves lists that take months to complete *cough* MVP *cough* Bottom 50 *cough*, here is yet another.

It is the inaugural Team Meltdown of the Year award, which should be self explanatory but surely someone doesn't work it out. No need for polls as the team boards tend to do all the work for us.

Round 1: Essendon
A stunning display of reality smacking a bunch of deluded supporters fair and square between the eyes.
Round 2: Hawthorn
A crackdown on off the ball thuggery has led to an explosion of quality reading material this week.
Round 3: Richmond
"It's like 100,000 membership cards cried out at once, and then.... ding"
western dole cheques desperate to make us all look away after another week of umpire charity.
Remind us of the free kick count this week Mofra ?

Wow, the melt continues into a second week.

Kudos :thumbsu:

True, they were by far the worst. But any other week, the Puffer blame shifting would be a sight to behold.

Puffers getting nominated may well be like the round 21 charity Rising Star nomination for a kid who has done ok but without an outstanding game to have earned a nomination in its own right.
But it seems set to happen. When is the showdown again?

Norf board had a pretty unanimous melt this week, 99.99% want rid of the coach, the board, and half the team.
To be fair, if my team had Brad Scott as coach I'd want him gone too.

Puffers board last night was melting pretty hard.

However.

Boy oh boy wowee! Blooz currently in nuclear meltdown.

It won't match any of the previous winners but its good.
Truth be known the Adelaide board was pretty good value last night too.
