In: Dimattina, Bartlett
Out: Robbins (broken collarbone), Hargrave

Good news that Brown came up.

Dimma for Robbins was predictable.

Given Hargrave's game time the past 2 weeks, I'm happy for him to play for Werribee rather than sit on the bench now.

Bartlett - no comment.

I'd have put Murphy in.

Whoever Brisbane put's on their bench hopefully.

I'd prefer Hargrave to be in too but if he isn't going to get time on the ground, then I'd prefer him to play 4Qs with Werribee.

noooooooo bartlett is in the team tell me it isnt true .I guess he is coming in cos it is against his old side.Hopefully Hargrave plays great game for weribee and is back in the following week when we play the dees.

Bartlett

You have GOT to be kidding me. How on EARTH does he get a game?

Quickest team in the league, and we bring in the biggest, most un co-ordinated LOG known to man kind...

There's a reason why we don't like him - HE'S USLESS

Who's he going to play on? Lynch? Bradshaw? He'll have 10 kicked on him by quarter time!!!!

Bring the pricks on. We were the ones who stopped Essendon's run in 2000, wouldnt it be awesome if we could do it to Brisbane? Would do wonders for membership if we could beat the best side in the competition on our home ground.

By the way is Voss playing? Cos i heard he was injured. Better not risk him eh Brisbane?

I havent wanted to beat a team so badly since the first time we played Adelaide after the 97 disaster.

Like Rocca did???? Considering his game against North, the joke is the fact that he got dropped in the first place

Agreed Uncle_Leo, I thought he should have been given a go against Wilson (Hunter did a pretty fair job)

Still begs the question as to to his match on Saturday - who would you put him on?

We are a tall short so it is good that they brought in Bartlett. He will either play forward or on Bradshaw who is good on the lead but Bart may be able to go with him on the lead.I suspect Hargrave was dropped more to give him some match practice than anything else.IMO Garlick will get a similar role to last week possibly on Black or Lappin. He has great endurance and will not be run off his legs.On current form he shouldnt but I am sure Libba will get a lock down role but I just cant see who that will be.Perhaps Voss or even Lappin. They have a heap of midfielders so we cant really tag them all we have to show faith in our own and turn the tables on them a bit.I think Grant should play back for this one and push Hunter forward.Hahn and Harrison shape as the only possible matchups for Tim Notting who is a very dangerous and underated player for Brisbane.I dont like the idea of either of them on him.I still think we should play only a 3 or 4 man forward line and clog up the midfield and make it a tight contest and not allow there backs to run the ball the length of the ground. They will have to show respect to Giansiracusa or he may suprise them. This also could be a good game for Bowden to get some experience in one of the forward positions. With Leppitsch and Michael down there we want to test them with some creative players up forward.Brown may play there on his dodgy ankle.

Brown might spend more time in the forward line and on the bench than anywhere else if he has an ankle that has been strapped immobile. Wallace might be gambling that Brown can pop up and kick a few goals even on 1.5 legs.

Id play Bart on Lynch, why not? Hes strong enough and you dont need too much brains to stick with your man at FB.

Grant at CHB, Hunter at FF, Bowden on Bradshaw. thankfully their Brown is not playing.

Darce/Bandy rotating through CHF/ruck

Kretiuk on Voss?

Lynch is extremely smart and often works players under the ball.In all our hatred of the man some of you may not have realised that he is the second highest scoring player in the competition.People were saying he should retire but really he is in the best form of his career.Crofty has done Lynchy in before and has the experience to take him.I dont like the idea of Bowden having to actually man up.Its not his go I would rather see him loose or up forward.Bartlett or Hunter for Bradshaw depending on who we want up forward.

I think it makes sense sort of to bring in Bartlett because Brisbane are a team which has very strong solid types and with all the underdeveloped young players in the side i spose we could use bartlett just for this week though. Is there any chance of voss not playing does anyone know? Anyway i think Hahn might play on one of thier big midfielders. It is VERY important that Browny gets up for the game..

Perhaps on the smaller grounds like Colonial Hahn can play on the midfield types but im not sure whether his endurance and speed are good enough to keep up with a Voss all game.Maybe we could rotate someone through there with him.Brad Johnson has been good this year but not his normal dominant self.I am looking to him for a special performance this week.Maybe he will be pitted in a shoot out with one of the midfielders.
