Teammates that didn't like each other

The only chemistry in the Friday night team is between Bruce and Carey. The rest hate each other and everyone especially hates/doesn't value the presence of Ling. You'd have though it might have improved after a couple of years but no.
You’d think at that point you would cut your losses and rid yourself of some of them.

I know you don’t need to love the people you work with but when it comes to broadcasting and commentating teams those that work well together probably come across as a much better product.

Re the West rumor. The clincher for me was always the migraine excuse when Wallace sat him on bench for 4 quarters.
When you have a migraine you dont sit in the blazing Brisbane sun for 2 hours let me tell you.

For some reason, him sitting on the bench the entire game has always stuck in my mind all these years.

Anyone mentioned Port Adelaide's "boys vs bros" stand off.
Pretty funny reading stuff like this from 4 years ago given that Chad Cornes is back on our coaching staff and creating similar cliques amongst the playing group.

Have heard very similar things again, yes.

C.Cornes the common party.

Could you provide some further insight?
Playing favourites, those who love the gym and getting their pump on for the beach are a part of his circle. More modern men who have interests outside of physical pursuit are being excluded.

Not good from a coach.

I'm not sure how big an issue it is this time around however we had the chance to be a Cornes free environment for the first time in years when Kane retired & instead of taking it we bring back old muscles Chadbro in a coaching role plenty of Port people were nonplussed.
Lots of stuff gets spilled about the club on air by Kane these days so it's not hard to put two and two together there either.

I liked Chad as a player but tbh I don't see the Cornes boys as real Port people.. is that opinion coloured by their old man, sanfl glenelg history, cliques & bro-downs? without a doubt.

I wouldn't mind ****ing off the family from the club forever. Spew the same negative dribble as their Dad.

You forgot Kane retiring midway through a season on 300

You should be grateful for it, it's a major reason for Hawthorn's latest recruit finding his way to your club.

What, two players who, combined, put about 25 to 30 years into the club? Come on.
They both slagged off the clubs history during their respective careers probably due to bays blood and bile spewed forth by Daddy, that shit doesn't endear you to Port people although Kane has changed his tune in recent years it's set.
Let's face it they are barely in the conversation when you talk Port greats from 1870 to present day.

I can confirm this would be the case. As I was told by a current players sister about issues with Sam Mitchell and the playing group. Obviously has a set way of doing things and standards he wants met.

He is apparently not the most liked bloke going around and they would be suprised if he stayed on coaching at the Eagles in 2018...
Gee, must’ve been a real shit bloke to pull your ‘ok at best’ midfield into line time and time again , admitted by your players to be walking around what it takes to win premiership?

Jason Dunstall didn't like Gary Ayres because Gary used to bring his Mrs on the end of year footy trips, Dunstall didn't like it because he couldn't 'play up'.
Gary believes it's part of the reason why he didn't get the hawks coaching job as Dunstall was on the Hawks board at the time.
Well, thank **** for that!

Are you serious? Chad is one of the only Port Adelaide people left at the club, have you seen the state of it?

I don't know why people are so keen to see the back of him and pretend he's causing all these issues, he is a winner and right now we're a team of losers

Any role in Polec's exit? Perhaps exacerbated by Rockclif's recruitment?

Don't think so, I think Polec was just a cash grab. Wingard leaving on the other hand was all down to personality clashes. And I would've much preferred to see the back of the personalities he was clashing with.

Beams and Taylor Adams is an interesting one. Now Beams is back I wonder how they will get on. I actually didn't know they even played a year together
i'd back Adams in a 1 on 1 any day of the week. In fact, I wouldn't mind if he wiped that ****ing smartarse smirk off Beams face the minute he walked back into the club
