I don't see what's wrong with Fletcher. It's a pretty old name that's come back into fashion.

Really only a problem in cases like this where his surname is primarily associated with being a first name and his first name is primarily associated with being a surname. Scott Fletcher is more likely than Fletcher Scott. I just find it weird

You shouldn't have a name where the last syllable of your first name is the same as the first syllable of your last name. For example, Daniel Lewis. Makes it sound like one word unless you take an unnatural pause
