Why do some parents treat the naming of their child so flippantly? This one above takes the cake. In our family you are given a name because your parents like it or you are named after a respected family member (usually a middle name though). No one is named after a favourite actor, racing car driver, singer, a character in a film/TV show or a bloody foodstuff!!!! I would feel like I was being treated as a joke if my parents named me Cookie because my mum craved them during pregnancy. I seriously can't imagine what these people are thinking

I was going to get Frederick but in the last few weeks my mother decided against it because she feared Fred would make me stand out too much in primary school.
A real pity. Frederick isn't a boys name but it is a mans name and I'm sure I'd be a very disciplined and hard working person if my name was Frederick
The funniest thing about Khaleesi is these idiots don't understand it isn't even the character's name. "Khaleesi" is a title, it's like calling your child Queen. ****ing morons.

Girl at my school in a younger year has the name teia but spelt "tayah". Something really bogan about that spelling
