Liddle has a lot to answer for and lets see how we go moving forward now but **** me the last thing we need is ego driven board room struggles when everything is looking up list and on field wise.

Well done Stephen for the work setting up our platform for the future.
Poor work though from administration for not being able to control the beast that's now going to embarrass the CFC.
We can continue to blame employees for all the 'unfortunate' situations we get ourselves into and if the picture wasn't clear before it should be getting there.
It doesn't matter which side one takes, it's the public brawl that should have been quashed a lot time ago, but we just didn't know how.
Stephen is gone and if he is the only one that's taken the bullet....we haven't learned much at all.

This is where the Pies are the ultimate example of achieving success behind the closed doors first.
Eddie as much as you hate or dislike him ANY team in the comp would kill for him to be in charge of their own because shit like this never happens and he runs a well run organization behind the closed doors at Pie land. This is what we have been missing for so long and love or hate the Pies you cannot refute the harmony Eddie McGuire brings in his role which in turn leads to on field success.
We have been seriously behind the 8 ball in this regard for over 2 decades now and now SOS has walked because of an ego driven Liddle throwing punches at shadows.

“Helped” put together the backbone of a playing list. Not “led” or “drove”. Sounds like he was a junior part of the team. Then you bang on about how we have to make tough decisions.

Pretty shit media release from Liddle. Bordering on pathetic.
I do agree with HARKER now though, the time for a presidential change is soon, if we truly wish to move into a more professional era.
The MLG regime (+ SOS) have done a wonderful job repairing a horrific list, and they should be commended for it. But if MLG can't handle Liddle, then we need to find someone who can.

SOS did a great job. His strength of personality as the face of the rebuild was invaluable.
But the conflicts are real and hopefully ongoing with his two sons. It doesn't take much imagination to see it being an issue right throughout the footy dept.
I would have preferred SOS to leave more gracefully, but it's not in his makeup. He's a competitive beast with a healthy ego. It's what made him a champion.
Good job SOS, but it was time. I've long thought that it was logical that this issue would lead to SOS departing.
