Its been like 3 weeks. Whats keeping everyone so long :D.

In all honesty this is set to be the most dull/lowest activity we have seen in a summer window in a long long time. Teams like Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City (short on strikers I heard) will be the only real active buyers with most of the market looking to sell or stay where they are atm.

So far things we do know

- Gabriel Obertan has handed in a transfer request and will return to Ligue 1. Not Man United material im afraid

- Charlie Adams will have his transfer request accepted. Expect a scrap between Liverpool and Tottenham for his services

- Juventus have rejected the buyout clause in Aquilainis loan deal trying to lower the initial valuation on him. Both clubs discussing a 9-12 mill buyout according to Juves president

- Bolton need to raise 10-15 mill in funds in order to balance the books and will finally listen to offers for Gary Cahill

- Sunderland boss Nial Quinn has come out and said the club may have to sell Asamoa Gyan in order to balance the books at the club

- From West Hams perspective its nearly confirmed that Victor Obinna will sign for West Ham on a free transfer once his current deal is done. Good business from us

Some random predictions are

- Mascherano to end his Barca misery by signing for Inter Milan

- Arsenal to spend big and sign up a CB, backup GK and Eden Hazard

- Liverpool to blow alot of trumpets yet miss out on alot of players due to lack of CL football

- Harry to finally buy a striker. Being Luis Fabiano from Sevilla

What price are you expecting him to go for?

Crawley Town just paid 15.5m for my American striker Nathan Brown in my FM game. :thumbsu:

Sevilla are broke broke. They are struggling to pay the wages broke so I think Fabiano will go on the cheap (10-12 mill). Would also expect Rakitic to go

On Sevilla I think Real Madrid have confirmed they have activated the 15 mil buyout clause in Alvara Negredo contract at Sevilla. Not sure if Real Madrid will keep him this time or sell him on for a profit

BAE looks like he's off to Juventus if they're really interested. Would be annoyed if it happened as we'd have no LBs left. We would have to chase someone like Jose Enrique if it happened.

Speaking of left-backs though, Liverpool are supposedly interested in signing Pascal Chimbonda.

You'd still think Liverpool would need to sign a natural left-back. Glen Johnson cannot be a long term option, especially with Carroll coming in.

I think they should go for someone like Kieran Richardson or Maynor Figueroa.

A host of clubs should be breathing down the neck of Kieran Gibbs. Clearly never going to get a chance at Arsenal and a great young talent worth taking a risk on

If I was Liverpool id throw the blank cheque at Reto Ziegler. I know they all want Taye Taiwo but hes all but certain to sign for a club in Portugal according to his agent so thats a bit of a no goer for them

We've been linked with Celtic's left back.

Emilio Izaguirre apparently, left wing back - Honduras international.

smh

Enrique, Young and Adam will be ours so hands off.

There is going to be a battle over hazard. He has shown his desire to work with wenger and vice versa but lille might be asking too much for wenger to consider him. Will depend if myachi can get a special work permit as well.

Less then Carroll i hope.

Really hope he doesnt leave. He is a quality LB. Not only that, if he does go, we are left with no LBs which means we will probably target a LB instead of a striker!

Um, you do realize you're a minnow club now?

Players like them will be wanting to take a step up, rather than relocating to a super-defensive europa level club. More realistic targets for you would be Jonas Gutierrez, Tal Ben-Haim, Nigel Reo-Coker etc.

So I must be imagining Carroll and Suarez coming to Liverpool.

Your corrupt manager targeted them and others and failed. I guess the massive club that is Tottenham couldn't beat a "minnow".

Yet liverpool signed forwards that spurs could only dream about

Oh that's right you're getting benzema or dzeko

Do you realise that Adam (Blackpool), Young (Aston Villa) and Jose Enrique (Newcastle) are not currently in Europe and would actually be taking a step up to play European football (Europa League it may be).

So your little snide dig at LFC is not relevant.

********.
