Why do you hate Biden and his crime family so much. Asking for a friend.

trump is obviously somewhat of a piece of $hit. Biden is clearly mentally incompetent and there's no way he's actually making decisions behind the scenes. As flawed as Trump is, at least you know who's making the presidential decisions around the place. But again, I don't see any of their combined crapness having impacted us in any meaningful way throughout their terms. It's hilarious that an Australian would care either way.

As an Australian I’m more concerned about the steady and deliberate degradation of American democracy, the rise of fundamentalist religious extremism in parts of the country, and the destabilising effect this is having on the US as our most important ally. Trump is a symptom of this not the cause.

It’s less about where they are right now (which is already a mess but as you say still relatively contained to the US) and more about the path they’re on and where they’ll be as a nation in 10-20 years time (with associated impacts on global politics and economics) if they don’t sort their shit out.

It’ll be much easier to knock them off this path now while some of these democratic structures remain in place than to wait until they have descended completely into a fascist theocracy (or a civil war breaks out).

It absolutely has global
impacts including Australia if the unhinged mobster twit were to be President again. If you don’t understand that I can’t help you.
I wouldn't say that Biden is unhnged. Looks like a straight up case of Dementia to me. It's rather sad that the democratic party have used someone who clearly doesn't have any cognitive ability to talk coherently or make a decision by himself. The fact that this charade of him running again is being considered by the democratic party is shameful by them and to the good citizens of the US who deserve better than a puppet fraudster who is being used by Sodos and his globalist thugs.

Keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night

It's quite interesting, the UK, the US, and Australia are all moving further left yet mainland Europe is moving further right. Europe seems to have more anti-establishment parties thus why they seem so popular whereas Australia, US, and Uk are controlled by the 2 major parties. Also seems quite interesting the youth are pushing the rightward trend in Europe, bit of the backlash from the migrant crisis.

Because of language barriers Europeans don't have access to the culture wars going on in English speaking countries. Their television shows are full local made content with very little modern outside influences. Where as in Australia, we've made that many cutbacks we have saturated our content with USA rubbish and as a result our younger generations genuinely think Australia has the same far leftist problems. Everything is generational though and it balances out. It always has. After two to three terms of leftist governance, the right always will win back into power and the USA I think is about to correct itself by dumping the far left activist government out of office. All the polls suggest this will be the case. This generation is probably no different from the massive hippy leftist swing of the 60s and 70s and right wing parties still survived during that time. Real life eventually takes over from activism when people realise they still have bills to pay and need jobs and pay taxes.

Are the Democrats “left” relative to the Republicans? Sure. Does that make them “far left”? Only if you take the view that Republicans are anywhere close to the centre right now. I suspect you’ve bought into this propaganda hook line and sinker.

American politics as a whole is more conservative than Australian politics. If you actually look at their policies and where they sit on the political spectrum:
  • the Republicans are further to the right than the Australian Lib/Nat Coalition.
  • the Democrats are if anything slightly more conservative (to the right) than the Australian Labor party (which self evidently is currently fairly moderate/centre). Many of the supposedly ‘extreme’ policies they are currently pushing (such as universal healthcare, better access to education, gun control, abortion rights, social security, progressive tax system, etc) have been established in our country for decades and enjoy bipartisan support.

Its the state governors more than the federal government. However, their are countless times the federal government has advocated far leftist ideology under pressure to be seen to comply. Otherwise they are all transphobes and racist if you don't give in.

Nah, you are way off. The democrats in the USA have never been so far left. The ALP aren't even close right now. Don't be fooled by Democratic anti republican propaganda. Also I agree there is a huge gulf between the republican party and the political centre. The Lib party dont advocate pro live and gun laws to change. Their main conservative view is genuinely around climate change. But 100% the USA is being horribly run right now and its purely because of the pandering by all democratic governments to the far left.

You have to laugh at the resident communists in here suddenly coming to the realization that the incredibly evil no good very bad Orange Man is the “symptom,” not the cause.

All because they’re being hit over the head with a brick by how astonishingly horrifying the Democratic Party is, and the absolute mayhem and destruction they are very predictably sowing on every aspect of normal life.

We’ve been telling you since he rolled down that escalator in 2015 that the Orange Man was the coroner, not the murderer.

Here you are, eight years later, arriving at the same conclusion.

None of you are very bright, are you?

If it wasn't so totally devastating to the nation, its actually quite hilarious to see the tidal wave of millions and millions of illegal aliens now having big impacts on deep blue sanctuary cities and states and said residents that all voted biden in 2020 are now horrified...suck a bag of you know whats..you voted for it..all of it so shut up and live with it like the red states that didn't also have to

Maybe think better where you put your vote next time

Well, sanity has prevailed. The good news is that my workplace has lifted the 3 jab policy (inline with SA Health guidelines?).

They were finding it difficult to get new staff in, particularly the lower skilled workers. (3 jabs along with other police, working with children checks etc made the task very difficult.)

It’s a pity that we lost so many staff that dug their heels in against an experimental vaccine. Unlike myself that folded like a cheap suit when my job and livelihood was threatened.

No more soup for me

Some on here would just say find another job. No one forced you to get the jab.

Job or dole queue was the only realistic option when there was little notice given for the mandated experimental vaccination.

I guess that was a choice but I like my standard of living, I have worked hard for it.

I think you need a bit of perspective mate. Can you provide examples of actual policies the Democrats hold which are more extreme than the Australian Labor party?

The culture war/identity politics bullshit is a neat distraction to keep gullible, small minded voters in their box and stop them from focusing on the things that actually matter.

The gulf of economic inequality is widening and living standards are dropping, particularly in the US and the UK. Right wing politics & media are responding to this the same way they always have: “don’t worry about the fact that you’re worse off than you were a decade ago because you can still punch down on this minority group and feel superior to someone in the social hierarchy”.

It staggers me how many people fall for this, and the amount of time they spend on it, including in this thread.

That the Australian Labor party didn’t get caught up in this is the reason they’re in power right now.

Mind blowing gaslighting and in general total rubbish here..well done

Hardly. My thoughts on this circa May 2020.

The US was already broken when Trump found it, but he has undoubtedly made the problem worse.

All because they’re being hit over the head with a brick by how astonishingly horrifying the Democratic Party is, and the absolute mayhem and destruction they are very predictably sowing on every aspect of normal life.

Laughable to suggest the mayhem under Biden is anything even remotely approaching what was experienced under Trump, and would be experienced if he were re-elected. I assume you’re just taking the piss, it would be difficult to take anything else you’re saying seriously if you were daft/biased enough to actually believe this. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

And never forget the lies. It happened in Australia as well.
They waged all-out war against anyone who was skeptical of an expedited vaccine

Both of those clips are a literal highlights reel of this thread over the last 2-3 years.

All of them will deny they said these things, but the receipts are there.

pretty sure Cole's and Woolies still have a double jab requirement. Which is absolutely absurd because if they were received back when they were first available they'd have zero effect by now. What annoyed me about their mandate for staff was that it wasn't applied to customers. If a worker needs to be jabbed to protect other workers then surely that measure needs to be applied to customers.
