I think you need a bit of perspective mate. Can you provide examples of actual policies the Democrats hold which are more extreme than the Australian Labor party?

The culture war/identity politics bullshit is a neat distraction to keep gullible, small minded voters in their box and stop them from focusing on the things that actually matter.

The gulf of economic inequality is widening and living standards are dropping, particularly in the US and the UK. Right wing politics & media are responding to this the same way they always have: “don’t worry about the fact that you’re worse off than you were a decade ago because you can still punch down on this minority group and feel superior to someone in the social hierarchy”.

It staggers me how many people fall for this, and the amount of time they spend on it, including in this thread.

That the Australian Labor party didn’t get caught up in this is the reason they’re in power right now.

i don't know much about their policies and perhaps it's changed, but didn't they advocate for open borders? Thats further left than recent ALP policy.

And never forget the lies. It happened in Australia as well.
They waged all-out war against anyone who was skeptical of an expedited vaccine

hilarious how many of the lemmings in here swallowed all that crap hook, line and sinker. They believed every bit of it and rejoiced in the job losses. Shameful pieces of excrament.

Dutton apparently on board with increasing the earning threshold where jobseeker is reduced. Might need to revisit my view, I'm not much of a fan of old Peter. What's interesting is the socual services minister claiming that 1. There's nothing to suggest it'll work and 2. It'll cost more than the $700m per Dutton and be a significant burden to taxpayers. Now 1. and 2. can't occur simultaneously. It only costs if it works. And that's why politics in this country is crap.

Curious how many on here do their own research because there quite a few who seem run with the POP-ups conveniently suggested by there browsing history.
And I hope some of you do understand that's what happens

Found one of the best videos on YouTube explaining and defining wokism and how it's basically cultural Marxism.

Search: James Lindsay at European Conference.

Plenty of options arise but click full speech. It's nearly half n hour long.

For those thinking it's just full of insults and jokes, it actually has none of that. It's very educational and eye opening and he backs up everything he says with well researched examples.

Safe and effective

Ok just read the report.

I think the commentator on twitter took a lot of liberties with that %. The researchers used a network of other studies and patient data to collate the data for the study. They clearly stated they had to create a baseline due to other health factors that damage eyesight such as diabetes, code for (educated guess) based on available data. but what it appears they didnt take into account is those who had covid and pre genetic dispositions. Covid itself damages eyesight which is my thinking as to how this study came about. The hypothesis clearly linked the vaccine mimicking the true effects of covid.

Basically the study really doesnt prove anything other than its a best guess that its likely an increased risk of....

The only genuine way to conduct a study like this would have been to do get the eyes tested of volunteers pre covid vaccine and then monitor them in the years after. If I am a gambling man, it wouldn't surprise me if this study has already started or is the actual next step on this study by the same group of researches.

Disclaimer: What I said above in no way insinuates they are wrong. Its just the way they studied it opens up for huge error margins based on other unrelated health issues and genetics they probably didnt have access to.

but it doesn't matter, they've just pivoted to denying anybody was forced to get vaxxed.

I guess it depends on the definition of forced. No one was tied to a chair and jabbed against their will. In this case forced is being used if they wanted to keep their job or travel. However a lot of people simply wanted to get vaxxed. Remember Nicola basically made it seem you and family members will literally die if you go outside.

This is very interesting written by a former Coalition member.

None of the Coalition leadership team is from either Sydney or Melbourne. Yep, they might find it difficult to get any traction at all to get the message out other than to all the regional folk, who basically are now their core constituents. As someone else wrote over the weekend, the Coalition has basically become the Qld LNP.

Given the majority of Australians live in the capital cities, how will the Coalition become relevant if the ALP don’t **** up?

Thats why its a 3 term election win. They will win back a few seats in Sydney over the next two elections but they will have to find and groom a new, more in touch leader. Dutton is old school and frankly not wanted.
