Swan has retired.
5 AA's in a row. Can be proud of his career.
Not to mention the Brownlow and premiership.

Very good accumulator of the footy. At his best, he was very damaging as well, often kicking multiple goals.

Shit way for him to go out.

I've been in denial about the extent of Swan's injury all year because he's my favourite player and I just couldn't accept that he'd played his last game for the club. Now that it's been made official I've had a lump in my throat all day. For a legend of the club to be forced out of the game like this when he still had so much good footy left in him is just devastating.

He did a sportsmans night at my mates footy club a couple of weeks ago, from what Swan was saying it sounds like his body is completely cooked not even considering his ankle. Both wrists are fused, arthritis in his hips and a few other ailments

Yeah I've heard a similar story from a mate who sat at his table at a club function and said Swan was even struggling to use a knife and fork properly because his wrists were that cooked. It's so easy to just carried away as a fan and place massive expectations on our sporting heroes without ever thinking about the cost to their quality of life

Jeff Thompson. He was brilliant at a sportsman's night.
Could have listened all day.

Same with Nick Riewoldt, God knows what he has to do during the week just to get up for the weekend. His knees are cooked and he'd be in pain for a good portion of the season.

Doubt it will.
Danger Mitchell top 2
What's up with you Handbaggers who think Mitchell will poll well?

He's done jackshit since round 5 and has been largely ineffective since he started getting the hard tag

Had him in DT all season, way too inconsistent, Cyril and Lewis will steal a heap of votes from him

He's their highest earner of coaches votes. He should be ineligible though.
Lewis is barely above Guthrie and Cyril is below him.

Danger should win comfortably as Richmond haven't won enough games for Dusty to be right there at the end.
That leaves Mitchell and Sloane and we know Mitchell is a vote getting pig.
