Watched it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it was okay, didn't blow me away, i did enjoy the different take & path they went down, probably a 6/10 for me.
The Dark Knight still easily the best Batman movie i've seen.

That's disappointing.
The Arkham related spin off series is supposedly not proceeding. However would be staggered about those Gunn rumours, haven’t heard anything to suggest that.

Variety are usually reputable enough with this kind of thing, unfortunately. I was very much looking forward to it. The potential of this in Reeves’ hands, phenomenal.

I think one problem is the number of Batman continuities they’ve had.
Nolan’s series is still fresh in everyone’s mind. Then there was Affleck, Joker, Keaton’s return in Flash and the Reeves take. Now there’s the DCU version.
I think Gunn would probably prefer a totally clean slate for the DCU and as little confusion and saturation as possible.
Might not mean killing Batman 2, but it might have something to do with dropping Arkham.

Not saying I'm right but why else would it take so long. At least it'll have to do with adjusting the script.
There’s a report from the director of The Brave and the Bold that that film has also been delayed so there’s a chance they’re trying to link it.
Either way I doubt Gunn wants two continuities. The Joker continuity is a dead duck now so he’s down to two…

There’s such a tonal difference between the Reevesverse and what Gunn is cooking, I’d be surprised if that’s the direction headed. However this is now the third delay for the sequel, damn.
