I don't think Mel is very bright tbh, and like a lot of women her age, when placed under a bit of pressure or given some responsibility, it goes to their head and they are prone to fits of hysteria, poor judgement and general emotion versus logic behaviour.

There's a reason we're more sensitive to sexist comments towards women, we have a proud history of denigrating them, and we have overcorrected for it. Eventually you'd think the right balance will be found so that equal standards are applied toward inappropriate comments, but who knows how long it will take.
