Does anyone from NSW know how to use a bat?

Where you Smiffy haters gone :D

He still looks like he's suffering from a nerve disease when he's at the crease

It's called being 'a busy cricketer' :D I didn't see it TBH, I only saw the first session. He's going to be a star they just need to give him these 10 tests in a row no matter how he's going and stop chopping and changing all the bloody time. I heard Cowan was AWFUL, strike 1 Boof.

Australia are never going to be successful until they stop persisting with the group of Watson, Cowan, Hughes, Kulajwa and Warner.
None of those are capable of either physically or mentally imposing themselves on opposition teams.
Unfortunately for Australia, we don't have enough "hardened" MEN in the team, and we seem adamant on persisting with players who are more marketable than substantial.
I want someone in the Australian team to stand up and say "I'm the man around here"........like Gilly, Warney, Steve Waugh, Hayden and alike used to do. Sadly, I can't think of one single cricketer in Australia who could do that

We have to stop comparing them to players like that, they just aren't around. What they NEED to do is stop playing washed up campaigners like Rogers because he gets runs against B grade players in English conditions. They need to play Watson as an opener and solely an opener, just forget he can bowl he's the opener, if you want to get some overs in then use Smith. They need to play Warner up the top and get some attacking flair up there. Rogers/Cowan in the top 3 is a disgrace and will never work. I like Hughes and Smith where they are. Not sure how Mitch Marsh and Ferguson are going but they should at least be looked at closely. The bowlers are fine, Lyon is shit so I don't mind trying something new there.

I disagree mate.....there is nothing wrong with using the likes of Hayden and co. as a benchmark to measure the current team. Those are the guys that set the standard in every aspect of the game, and if this current list has no aspirations to reach the levels that these guys did, then they can piss off.
I'm not sure if you've noticed the the s******ing and pleasure that the Sth Africans the Poms and the Indians have taken in our slide, but why do you think that is so?
It's because, for so long we had our foots fair and squarely pressed down on their collective throats and they hated us for it........but they still respected us! The demise in Aussie cricket has been more prominent than any other competing nation, and they're all taking great pleasure in it.
Last nights batting collapse wasn't anything out of the norm. It's what we've been doing for the last 5 years

Agree completely. Keeping Cowan (club cricketer) Watson (looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane) Rogers (past it) Hughes (talented but shaky technique) Warner (high maintenance little reward) in the side is like Melbourne Demons playing the same players over and over again even though they finish 16th-18th on the ladder. The selectors have been rewarding mediocrity for years. I think the selectors should have bit the bullet and introduced two new batsman into the team just as they have promoted Agar.

I didn't stay up to watch the (cough) batting, that scorecard looks fairly ordinary. After Siddle tore the poms a new one, you'd think someone woulkd give a whelp

Mixture of shit batting and good bowling.

The ball from Anderson that bowled Clarke would have got any batsman out.

Still a chance of getting a first innings lead as the tail usually bats better than the top order.

Oh yeah... nice theory pal... because the next Hayden, Gilly, Langer, Ponting, Waugh are all just languishing in club cricket, aren't they.

Newsflash brainiac: the blokes waiting in wings are worse.

If you disagree - name me a better top 6 than we have right now, playing. And you can't name Warner, because he's out for being a complete ****wit.

Here's a better top 6

Siddle
Starc
Pattinson
Agar
Faulkner
Harris

Smith started finally showing some promise last season and has followed on. Hughes will never really look settled against international cricketers but hopefully he can grind it out. Pattinson, Siddle and Starc can all hold a bat and there's a bloke called Haddin who doesn't mind a fight but the first hour is going to be crucial.

Does anyone else think Pietersen is just an individual flog who only cares about himself?

Probably has a Bay 13 account.

Agar's a pretty decent batsman too, better than Lyon.
