I think Chappy has been rocking the bald/beard combo. I mean, why the f**k not?

No facial hair is my preference, though I do like David Beckham-type stubble; and that guy with the mustache in @Caesar's old avatar was kind of cute. My ideal man would have wavy/messy/curly hair, and not one hair on his face.

I like scruffy, the careless masculine look is great, but not too much scruffy. Some men like to take it overboard, and they end up looking homeless. Jimmy Bartel, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Orlando Bloom - what do they all have in common? They're all sexy until they stop shaving.

To those with beards/a lot of stubble, I hope I'm not offending you. Best not take advice from me anyway, I get bagged out all the time because of my "shit taste" in men.

I prefer all those men a LOT more with their beards - especially Jimmy! I am pro stubble and a small beard. I brought my partner a trimmer so he wont shave his off!

None taken. I decided at one point last year to shave head abd face. My gf had a look of absolute horror, that her Nick Malceski lookalike had turned into Uncle Fester

Ladies I would also like to get your opinion on men with beards. Does it make them look more manly and attractive, or does it just make them look like dirty lazy hobos?

I find the majority of men more attractive with a beard / facial hair. It makes them more manly or something. Even guys with a few days / week growth - sexy*

*i'm sure there are exceptions.

Been beared regularly up for about 3-4 years now (basically my 30s). Before that used to go through phases of sometimes beard, sometimes clean, sometimes stubble.

I look way too young without one, so enjoy looking my age. Bit of salt and pepper in the beard doesn't go astray either. Plus, I was a man child, so looked in my 20s since my early teens. Kinda sick of looking in my 20s. :p

Good - THIS is my favourite! The not shaven for a few days/week. It makes an 'already good looking guy' VERY sexy :)

Not very good - not a big fan of manicured facial hair on men

Good

albeit pretentious but an example of how wild beards are ok.

Daniel Craig is not already good looking. Especially when he has gone half-Yeti and his makeup artist isn't decent enough to match his ears with the rest of him.

Yeugh.

Sorry, but we have totally different tastes.

I like me some stubbled up Taylor Walker and Buddy Franklin though.

Love a guy that can rock a decent beard or mo! A mans gotta know his limitations though. If it's thin and whispy I think a guy should just accept his fate and go the clean face or a little stubble. The ZZ Top look doesnt really appeal either to me personally.

The manimal Max Rooke is an example of beard perfection IMO. Little scruffy, not too overgrown. Oooh la la!

Works the mo quite well too.

It varies for me, my facial hair grows thicker and darker on the left side of my face (cheek, under my nose, surrounding chin) than it does on the right, so it always looks uneven or even a dye job gone wrong.

My facial growth is noticeable over time, but to get a serious beard rocking.... i would have to let it grow for 6+ months. Never been able to grow a mustache for more than 2 months.... it gradually annoys the hell out of me. I did grow a goatee for almost 2 years, i shaved it off for a funeral and i was never able to get it to grow back in the same way since.

I go through periods where i will shave every 3 - 5 days over a few weeks..... but then maintain the unshaven look for anywhere from 7 - 28 days.
