Good [INSERT TIME OF THE DAY] Sweet, I trust this post finds you.
It takes a lot for me to extricate myself from my hammock while on leave so getting off my arse is a big thing, and celebrating my teammates is such a big thing. The cricket being rained upon from a great height also helps, as does a full bladder. Going to the fridge. Making a sammich. Taking the dog for a walk. My watch nagging me that I haven't stood up in an hour. But I digress...
In the past season or so the Coney Island Warriors have fond ourselves in a situation where multiple milestones have fallen on the same match. There was the initial compendium at the end of last season that celebrated 400 games worth of milestones from Piggy Smalls The Filth Wizard & toxic, followed by a second iteration at the beginning of this season worth 600 games featuring Freofalcon TheInjuryFactory & a double-dipping Piggy, and a few weeks later Filthy returned with Reginald Perrin for a third bite of the multi-milestone cherry which acknowledged another 600 games. That's 1600 games played by six different Wazzas, and today we add another 200. Some would say that a multi-milestone thread is a path of least resistance when it comes to acknowledging the accomplishments of such fine outstanding individuals. However in each of the weeks where I have rolled the compendiums out the Warriors have saluted on the qooty field, and given we're in a preliminary final against a team that has the wood over us I say that any advantage is worth... well, taking advantage of.
And so we come to the gentlemen for whom we are gathered today. One is an absolute gun of both the club and the league who achieves something significant this week, and the other is a rising star who celebrates the first of many milestones in what will be distinguished career. Let's take a look at them shall we?
