Anyone got a link to where i might be able to watch the game tonight? Have never tried to watch online before, my feeble searches for feeds have been futile and i basically have no idea where to start... Cheers in advance!

if you have high speed internet you should be sweet with the link provided, or try http://live-footy.powered-by.zango.com/?a670a976f6/ga673a97af2&s=http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/

it might buffer at times during the match, but being at 3 it shouldnt be as bad as a 1145 saturday night match.

theres a few different streams of the match, and if you dont mind hearin the commentary id reccomend a non-english channel because they are usually less busy.

Wow 3-0 at HT. Talk about helter skelter. We could have had 5 if not for the early miss by Gerrard and that incredible stuff up by Arbeloa.

Weird thing is Villa have actually looked dangerous going forward. Carew is tearing Skrtel a new one. Clearly this was a game for Hyppia.

Great stuff by Riera this half. He was horrible against ManU but today scored a brilliant volley and won a well deserved penalty.

Another wierd thing is Torres has been off form in such an open game. Terrible first touch today. I hope its not his ankle flaring up. If its still 3-0 after 60 mins I'd sub him.

Oh well, another 2 or 3 goals in the 2nd half and we'll have the best GD in the league.:)

^ especially considering Villa have actually played quite well.

Was just checking out Soccernet game commentary:

That's half time and a very impressive 45 minutes from Liverpool. They are heading to within one point of Implode United at the top.
=D

Also is it just me or do we seem to score a lot of goals from hoof/long unstructured balls? Shows that sometimes you need to forget about trying to get the perfect pass, and just put the oppositoin under some pressure.

Also can't believe Arbeloa didn't take on Friedel - 1on1, nobody would have blamed him, and how often do defenders get that opportunity

This is ****ing awesome. Definately worth staying up for. Had some problems finding a consistently good stream, and at one point near the end was watching some German one, and they did a little collage of Rafa's reaction after each goal - he didn't flinch once haha. Same reaction every time, completely stone faced.

Ecstatic about us now having the best goal difference. Who knows how important that may end up being. And now we're right on United's ass. Some serious pressure on them, and although they're in a form slump, Villa still have some quality players, so you never know what they may do at OT in 2 weeks time with Vidic, Rooney, Scholes, and possibly Berbatov (although I doubt it - supposedly has an ankle injury which will keep him out of Bulgaria's match, suprise suprise ) out.

Really happy our boys kept it up in the second half and went for as big a win as possible.

That sounds like the same footage foxtel had - and the commentators mentioned that Ferguson had taken a swipe at Rafa by saying that 'true football fans' got excited when their team scored.

But I guess when you've got enough whiskey in you you'd get excited about anything.

Really, really great result, worth waking up for. Disappointed about the Friedl red though, could make it hard for Villa to beat United.

Great to get such a comprehensive win considering Torres was off his game for most of the match. He started playing a few nice balls at times during the second half but for the msot part his first touch wasn't great and he seemed to get in the way.

Riera :thumbsu:
Srktel:thumbsu:

Reo Coker:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Haha hadn't heard that. He really is losing it and getting desperate :D

Anyways, off for some shut eye. COME ON YOU REDS!!!

As he reads the papers while he has his first breakfast scotch this morning, Grumpy'll be getting excited about the Mirror's coverage (Aussie papers take note - even tabloids can have quality, insightful and witty sports coverage!!).

I've posted the full article in the other thread on here, so just the link and 'special' highlights here:

The wobble is on. The tremors are so severe they should be measured on the Richter Scale. Manchester United lost more than three points in the chaos at Craven Cottage. They lost their composure, their aura of invincibility. Logic tells you they remain champions-elect, but freezeframe images of mental disintegration are too fresh to ignore.

Wayne Rooney stalking off and pummelling the corner flag with a right-hander that could have stunned an ox. Sir Alex Ferguson ushering protesting players away with a 1,000-yard glare that could turn a man to stone.

Cristiano Ronaldo in Barbie mode, petulant and precious, raging at everyone from referee Phil Dowd to teammate Darren Fletcher. Thiswas the Damned United, not the dream team we have rightly lauded for its artistry and athleticism. The rest of the Premier League suppressed its sense of shock and joined in the laughter.

It was a tranquil setting for an ambush. Fulham is one of those genteel clubs which capture the spirit of suburbia. The passion is refined rather than raw. But, for one afternoon only, the most polite fans in the Premier League turned rabid.

...

How Ronaldo finished the match is one of life's mysteries. He was fortunate that Danny Murphy is too honest a pro to make more of the lunge that earned a booking. Ronaldo gestured dismissively at Phil Dowd, and entertained the crowd with his best Chocolate Teapot impression. When he and the referee flashed thighs at each other we wondered if they'd put mind-expanding substances into the half-time tea.

Wow. 5-0 and Gerrard and Torres were well, well below par.

A welcome return to form for Riera. And Dagger's back! :D
