It'd be nice if N'gog puts in a solid performance and maybe even scores...not that there'll be a lot of supply from the midfield.

Aurelio and Lucas have both been included in Brazil's squad for a couple of friendlies (one of them against England) in the middle east in a couple of weeks.

Have to say that with Aurelio's injury history I'm just a tad concerned about lots of air travel and 1 or 2 games in short time period. But I will concede that's it vital for Brazil to keep their standards high against quality teams like Oman.

Great to see Nate Ecclestone and David Amoo both in the squad.

If you haven't seen Amoo play before - and he gets a go (Which I doubt he will) - you won't believe how fast he is.

Think of Usain Bolt dominating the flanks on the football pitch. He's so fast it's just ridiculous.

Oh, and Lucas won't be playing.

Which is a shame after his outstanding performance on the weekend.

Has Swine Flu apparently.

Sounds like David Bellion to me.

You'd know more about Bellion than me.

But Amoo is only 18 - So he's still very raw.

But he's a really powerful unit. Big black man. Very strong, and his pace is blistering.

Still not really sure whether his best position is as a striker or a winger, but the guy is just that fast it's ridiculous.

You had to laugh when he was playing for the youth team and the reserves last year, up against lads his own age. They couldn't do anything about him.

I'm not convinced he'll ever develop the technique to make the grade at Liverpool, but we might as well watching him - because he's really exciting.

National underage sprinting champion.

Cant be too long left for Aquatime

Aqulaini comes on 76th minute

Babel says he wants to be a striker and he misses goals like that. Voronin doing some nice things.

Nice pinpoint pass by Aqulaini 80th minute

Babel and Voronin. Lulz.

Surprised Insua played, but what a screamer that was.

Aquaman showed some very good touches, still a bit hesitant to get involved in the challenges, but a fantastic over-head kick attempt on goal late in the game.

Eccleston and Bennynoon barely touched the ball when they were on.

Degen's run were good, but very rarely was there an end product.

Only watched the first half as I had to leave for work, but I thought Degen was impressive as was Spearing. Dissapointed with Plessis who didn't do much.

How did Aquilani look when he came on? Any idea when he will start his first game in the Premier League?

Aquaman showed some Xabi-like quality in his passing. One great long ball to Degen and also some nice ball control. Only 15 minutes though, and 15 minutes in the reserves before that - I'd suspect he won't be involved in the next league game. Degen loves to get forward, probably more so than Johnson. Voronin tried hard, did some nice things, did some awful things, but he had to be more impressive at this level. Babel did a great impression of John Aloisi.

Degen made a lot of impressive runs; no end product. He was serviceable.

Spearing and Plessis I thought were pretty good; Aquaman replaced Plessis after 76 minutes and looked right at home, he played one lovely pass which found (I forget who it was now).

Looked quite good, I'd suggest it might be a couple of weeks before he starts, he'll slowly build up some match fitness, maybe another cameo role off the bench against Fulham (if we're winning towards the end).

Some crucial UCL games coming up to, we must win all 3 (by the looks of things), so he might get some game time there as we look to play some more attacking lineups.

So when do we think Aquilani will debut in the Premier League?

@ Fulham or the week after?

I didn't get to see the second half so I didn't see how he played etc.

15 minutes is only 15 minutes, despite it being a first team game, it was only the CC and it wasn't a very frantic finish to the game once Arsenal controlled the ball from about the 85th minute onward.

I think we could almost sneak him into the squad against Fulham and use him only if we're comfortably ahead after 80 minutes.

Otherwise, he might play the weekend after (the same sort of role he played tonight).

Any danger of Babel and Voronin actually doing something before they get the arse? Hopeless, both of them. Skrtel didn't impress me today either.

There's no doubt Aquilani shares some very similar qualities with Alonso, so you can see why he was brought in. Loved his attempted volley in stoppage time too. Hopefully he'll be good for 45 to 60 minutes in a reserves game next week, and might be on the bench for our league game the weekend after. Not ready to feature against Fulham.

Our defending was dreadful. So many sloppy mistakes, even Diego flapped at one which was epic lulz and the goal mouth scramble than ensued, no idea how they didn't score... (Ngog ended up clearing the ball away).

Rafa had a decision to make when Dagger regained his fitness (regarding who he left out) and he chose to keep Carra in the side, who has looked 100x better with Dagger next to him.

Skrtel wont be reclaiming a first team spot any time soon based on this morning's performance.

The Greek wasn't much better, no pace what-so-ever and so many times he chose to back off the player running at him rather than go and attempt to get the ball. I don't care if he gives away a free kick, he was inviting more trouble by letting Ramsay (most of the time) run towards goal.
