I have not responded, just find the whole thing strange really. People say the early days of a break up are the hardest but it does get easier as time goes on. I felt I was moving forward correctly (went through the emotional phase, "healed" and was beginning to feel normal again and then bam this happens).

Done it quite a number of times. It tends to fizzle out, although with the last GF we ended up getting back together in an open relationship as she met a girl she loves spending time with so we basically share her while I'm free to date when we're not together.

Was great for the first 6 months, petering out now more for the reasons we broke up originally than anything else.

Still friends with a couple of old FWB. Had a tricky end with one girl who was a lot more attached than me, but we wound up being really good friends afterwards. Like anything, provided you're honest about your intentions/what you're after it can end amiably.

Depends on how much 'friends' plays a role in the benefits arrangement. For me the purely benefits one fizzled, the friend with benefits is still a friend.

So you obviously want to be with her if you're you know, living together. Yet you think you should break up with her now that you're in a position of power as some hybrid defence mechanism/revenge act?

I'm still sticking to my original opinion that girls like that are always bad news. If you're not super into her anymore, then break up with her. Doing it from a position of power will help you gain closure. From what I can guess (and it's only a guess), this girl has you wrapped around her finger, so coupled with most humans' need for acceptance and the psychology that emanates from romantic rejection, you have been constantly drawn back to her. Turning the tables (you breaking up with her) will help assuage that situation.
