Gary the Man City fan really isn't coping

There's more of his rants out there as well

Never dropped points from VAR - 2 points dropped from VAR against Utd
Origi dived vs West Ham - LOL!!!
Firmino - nah never a penalty. Ings though - blatant stonewall pen.

The funny thing is City have had more VAR awards now in their favour then us!

Wonder if the Havertz links are Jurgen's attempt to tie down Bob's long term successor

This front 3 will be so hard to replace, they are all perfect for each other and greater than the sum of their parts. Bob is arguably the hardest one to replace, there is no player like him in Europe. The closest is arguably Jimenez but he is nowhere near as good

That's a concern for me that they'll all need replacing around the same time.

Solutions? Buy Mbappe/Haaland/Sancho in 4 years time!! That would be a great nextgen front 3!

Last year we failed to capitalize on the 10 point lead over city and fell away in January.
That was the magic number for mine. Lead by 11+ over City and in this season also 2nd placed Leicester.

December 27th. The 4-nil win at Leicester City was when we wrapped it up.
We established double digit leads over Rodgers and Pep and that same weekend Man City lost to Wolves by 3 goals to 2 after leading by 2 early on.
That was when we won it. That was when we knew.

January’s flawless results has solidified it and it’s why none of us went early but inadvertently January morphed into more about breaking records than it has been about the title.

10 point lead is a myth from last season. We played before them to go 10 clear but had played a game extra. Once they played it was back down to 7 after the same amount of games. And then back to 4 after City beat us.

Seriously was not assed about City's result vs Spurs, if they had won, good for them, at the very least, it would have kept what little edge there was left in the race an in turn keep us being honest. So to see a result of 2-0 when I woke up this morning, just a bonus really. Hope Klopp and the team continue to rage the one game at a time philosophy but you know it's done when you are not fussed about what City does.

Hope Pep (edit, I originally wrote Klopp WTF) leaves though, getting a bit warn out as a fan with the last two seasons. Would like to see us defend the league next season unopposed like United did a few times and like Chelsea in 2005/06. Winning leagues was never this tough.

At least the standard was consistent. Either both or neither should have been given.

Please DM any ways to watch the Shrewsbury game this week.

Yep, thought both should've been a pen. I reckon with Fabinho Friend saw only the initial tackle. With Firmino he must've thought Bobby was also holding on to his opponent because it was in full view of him.

Genuinely can't process that we're winning the league

For the 20 years I supported the club, it drove me mad, it drove the fanbase mad. We've done and said some insane shit during the whole crazy ride

Now I'm gonna watch Hendo lift the trophy and I would've seen my club won everything an English club can possibly win. How many other clubs can boast that? Chelsea and Man Utd, which is about it, yet people talk about our "drought" like it's a failure

It has been a privilege following the club, absolute honour

The Ings one could go either way. I've seen Shearer say on MOTD it was stonewall but then I heard Giggs and Paul Ince both say they didn't think it was a pen, but there was enough there that if Kevin Friend gave it, that VAR couldn't overturn it. Everyone seems to agree the Bobby one was stonewall, though.
That’s not keeping with the LiVARpool narrative saying that about the Ingsey one. 😃

It's all quite difficult to quantify mate.

I remember not being totally gutted last season, more like frustrated. Of course Liverpool would get 97 points in the league. Incredible... but someone else gets 98. It was peak Being Liverpool.

We'd lost the CL final the previous season in comedic fashion. Again Being Liverpool. But even though we got rolled in the CL final and even though we finished one point behind City, I could see us building. I knew we were close.

Then Madrid. We needed that so badly to instill belief. But when this season started I still thought it was gonna be a bridge too far to catch City. Like perhaps we missed our chance last season.

Then this season began and the first thing I remember looking back is the Norwich game when they beat City and we had opened up a little gap.

Then it just snowballed quite quickly out of control. 6 points became 9. Then all of a sudden we were double digits in front. Next minute Leicester were now our rivals. Then the gap was above 15....19.... 22.

It's almost being a blur. It's happened so quickly. It's difficult to take it all in. To really appreciate what we are witnessing.

I mean we've won the league. We've gone and bloody won the league.

I've been supporting Liverpool since around the mid 90's. We had only won the league 5-6 years previously. But United were starting to get right into the swing of things.

They were too good. Year after year after year. Arsenal gave us some reprieve but we never really threatened even in the year we finished second around the turn of the century.

As each year rolled on, we seemed further away than ever to a league title. It's like we just had to wait until SAF retired. And just as he was getting older, up pops Abramovich. What was difficult now became doubly difficult.

Chelsea's money was unheard of and they dominated. We had bright spots, Rafa and Istanbul but again we finished second under Benitez but I never truly thought we could pip United that year.

SAF drew ever closer to retirement. Thank God. Then what was doubly difficult became impossible. The Shieks arrived and their money made Chelsea look like small time.

Meanwhile the club imploded under the cowboys and I had to sit through Woy, Konchesky, Poulsen, Jovanovic and the corpse of Joe Cole.

With our implosion and City's wealth I don't think we had ever been further away from a league title than we were at the time of the cowboys. I honestly began to believe that i might just go my whole life never seeing us win that elusive league title.

And then it all changed. John Henry... that beautiful, beautiful man saved our club, righted the ship and eventually brought in one Jurgen Norbert Klopp and what has happened before my very eyes has quite simply being difficult to believe.

Yet here we are. Champions of Europe, Champions of the World, Champions elect of England and a 30 year wait for a title has ended. Invincibles in play. Centurions in play. Treble in play.

How am I feeling? Well it's difficult to describe. Lucky I guess would be the word that comes to mind. Grateful, happy, incredulous, emotional, joyous and even a little smug.

It's a ******* fantastic time to be a Red.... and the best thing about it all is that we're just getting started!
Never truly thought we'd win one.

When Leicester won the other year I just thought "get stuffed" even they get one!

A few years ago it was Gerrard slip.

A couple years before it was a deflection off a bloody beach ball (that was allowed) that helped stuff us.

We had Stevie, Torres and Suarez dominating the league but kept tripping up.

Now the only team I follow that hasnt won a title is on track... finally.

Keep it going lads.

I was pretty confident of us winning the EPL this season. Leading by 22 points at the start of February though? Go and get ****ed.

It was about solidifying it and extending on it. Jurgen mentioned how it he wanted to get the game in hand out of the way against West Ham so we were all on equal footing once more and as soon as we extended beyond 10 it was new ground for us.

I had a mate who was a Leicester tragic who unfortunately became terminally ill and passed a few months (IIRC) before they claimed the title. Similarly, we would have had a lot of supporters that sadly aren't here to witness what we've all only dreamed of in the last 30 years. We're both fortunate and privileged to be able to enjoy this current group.

Still think we buy Sancho, ya know, the Werner/Havertz story could just be posturing with Dortmund for the price

No one in the world, perhaps ever, is a better football teammate than Firmino when he plays like that. He's the cornerstone.
He is simply magnificent to watch. Defenders have NFI what he is going to do, and he always executes with such flawless control and precision. His first touch is always so smooth and is always in rhythm with what his teammates are doing... What a player!
