BTW, I think we should spend, just not crazy money. Sarr would have been nice, with Shaqiri going the other way. Thiago would be nice, although it appears to be at Gini's expense. Another CB is needed IMO but I don't think that is going to happen.

We're also not at the stage where we can spend 50m on squad players like City did with Mahrez. He's never been a lock best XI player for them. We can only spend money on guys who play or are young enough to wait.

We got no moneys.

If you say so.
I’m not in for the massive spend. However, if a side like Leicester had our revenue and were in our position they wouldn’t even blink at the minimal spend that was required to bring in Timo Werner. What a **** up that decision was to pass on him. Plus, Thiago Alcantara would’ve have been signed as well.

Werner I don't really care. Liverpool have better players in that position.

If they do not get Thiago I will be pissed off.

Id consider Thiago in and another centre back a good window. Thiago in the middle makes me less anxious about Alexander Arnold missing games her and there because we'd be have an elite passer in midfield. Left back finally backed up with Tsimikas. Removing the need for Fabinho to ever play CB would be enough.

Were not at the level where we can just spend like United or city. Even vvd and Allison we got after we sold Coutinho. Maybe when we win 10 titles and become a global powerhouse for 20 years we can..not right nowhere.

Im surprised some really thought Werner was a possibility. He was only a possibility if again one of the front three left. We were never even in for him.

I reckon he was a certainty if Covid didn't happen.

Say we did sign him, what msg does that leave the front three and origi/Shaqiri/Brewster? You gotta get rid of one/create a space for him where he knows he's going to get regular minutes before you just buy him and say, "here Timo, sit on the bench and collect your money".

We promised Brewster first team minutes last year then we loaned him afew weeks into the season as Klopp.knew he was not.going to give him that. Different players want different things.

We're logjamed in midfield though. Not up front. Werner was nailed on and would rotate with our current front three but Covid has prevented that.

So we gotta go with Origi again.

Some players fit the role. Origi is content with being 2ns choice though not happy. For Werner to move with massive clubs after him and in his peak to come sit on the bench is silly. Unless Klopp can guarantee him first team minutes and fulfill it.

Ah well doesn't matter now anyways as he is a Chelsea player.

Werner IMO is a better player than Firmino, would also start and come off the bench in plenty of Pool games

So as a manager that's won a league title/champions league with W settled team you're going shunt out your 1 forward for a new signing? How is that going to effect the morale of the squad? And Werner is in his peak is going to come and play a role off the bench, really?!
