Just thinking of some of the massive transfer flops made by Man U, Real and Barca in recent years - think we've been lucky in that regard our big spends VVD and Allison were winners - Keita at 50 mil probably giving it a shake. Who have we lost big money on: Balotelli Markovik - Can left for nothing. Guys leaving on frees are probably the worst, financially.

Can was signed for 9m so not the end of the world he left for free.

Balo & Markovic had some loan fees recouped but were disasters. Caroll we got half our money back which is reasonable.

Yeah and I guess you win some as well - did well getting rid of Benteke. And Cout and Suarez money covers most of the duds. Just thinking what happens if you sign a huge deal (Pogba, Hazard, Bale type money) and they misfire and you have to get rid of them at half price - would kind of suck. Flip side of the coin going after the big fish.

How much did we pay for Aquliani? 18-20m ?
Wasn't he injured before he came to us?
I remember being excited about his signing😭

We thought he would be out Alonso replacement, how wrong we were

Wouldn't buying Thiago early force Barca's hand, so that they have to get Gini off us

Considering the reports are that Ronald wants Gini but their board is forcing him to get Thiago

Plus it'll take ages for Thiago to have a proper Klopp pre season before he's ready to play, even if we sign him

Yeah he's up there 20 mil pounds in 2009 money. Ronaldo was 80 mil to Real around the same time. Aquilani was a decent player though, just didn't work out with us - sometimes they just need the right system. Aspas a few years ago was like that - we just played him off the bench and out of position and he goes back to Spain and he's better than a 1 in 2 striker, not too shabby. I mean, they're all good players at the end of the day.

Watching the Blackpool game now. Not a fan of Klopp’s new hat
Haha, watching the game ATM as well and let's not sugar coat it ,that hat is sh*t.
Looks cheap and nasty, nothing like the quality look of the NB one's,particularly the black one.
I hate our new kit. The blue is feral and the red is a slight on the NB red. Was at Rebel a few days ago and it’s $105. The NB one used to be $120.

I also prefer the NB red over nikes.
Deep red is very nice

While i own the mcallister one, i think the red is too light

Surely we are not considering selling Brewster. That would be pretty dumb. We must be SUPER hard up for cash.

At this point, I'm shocked we even managed to buy Tsimikas.

What would you do? Keep him as a player on the becnh and stunt his development. Or loan him out again? Or sell? Klopp doesn't want him it seems like so best thing is to sell.

Klopp rates him highly. Best thing is a loan for him in the PL. Dont think we would consider offers of less than 30m for him
