I thought Werner was ok. Chelsea looked poor in thebfirst half. Brighton were the better side but they still got the win and will improve.

We need to beat them this weekend to make that statement that we are the champions.

Werner looks pretty good, just a matter of where his ceiling is. If we had him he wouldn't be getting that much game time. Hard to know what to make of Chelsea.

I don't agree. From what I saw Werner can easily come in and deputize for our front 3 allowing us to rest and rotate. For that front 4 then they would play 3 games in every 4, perfect.

Think we needed Timo to hang on for 1 more season before moving. IMHO one of Mo (most likely) or Sadio will be in their final season with us.

Probably - it's a balancing act. One of the front three goes down and we're in real trouble, but then we're probably better off that they play together all the time. Klopp seems to err on riskier side of things, rather than managing a big squad. It's worked so far....

Not sure if someone has posted this already (the Liverpool thread on BF ticks over like a fan rotates) and this is from a couple of months ago but Liverpool has appointed Manchester United's commercial director as its own commercial director.

Good appointment if he has the same commercial success with us that he did at Utd.

Why do people keep suggesting one of Mane and Salah will move on soon. Both 28, in the prime of their careers. They should be spending the next three to four years with Liverpool.

I know he's a total freakshow but Cristiano is in his mid 30s. I think there's a mentality that exists in supporters minds that 30 yo is finishing time. Modern sports science shows that's rarely the case for top athletes. None of our front three have indicated anything less.

Also sidenote, with that hatty on opening day, Salah has moved onto 97 goals for the club in all comps and is not just three shy of becoming just the 17th player in the clubs history to score 100 goals.

Egyptian King. 😍

Been saying it for a long time, he's a shoe-in on the right side in a Liverpool all time XI
