Gotta start coming up with a plan to deal with busses, and stop being spuds in defense
I'd almost hoof it forward, dont press and sit in front of our own box. Force Burnley to come forward and try to score. Get the ball, kick it straight back to them. Do it for 20-30 minutes, just keep giving it back to them. Defend stoutly. Suck them right in, right up the pitch.

Then COUNTER!

That's it. If for the first 20 minutes, they set up a bus. Stop attacking. Give the ball to them. Set up our own bus.

It's the only thing I can think of.

Next up is the league cup vs Burton Albion in 3 days.

Think we'll just rotate the squad since we play Spurs after.

Ings
Origi-Grujic-Woodburn
Can-Stewart
Moreno-Matip-Wisdom-Randall
Manninger

Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Klavan, Henderson, Brannagan, Lallana, Sturridge
We wont change the team that much. We dont have enough games. Woodburn isnt anywhere near the first team yet. Wisdom and Randall wont play. I think Matip and Grujic will though. Can should start his first game of the season.

Nah I just don't wanna see two AMs in front of only one midfielder ever again, defensively it's a disaster
It might work.... might. If that one midfielder was a destroyer and a world class DM like say Mascherano is his prime. But it's not, it's Jordan Henderson, so that's not going to work.

Would have Markovic in Woodburns place if fit.

I'm trying to not go into a novel about how ****ing awful that was because I just feel like I've been down this rabbit hole before.

It's ingrained in the fabric of the club, built up over 25 years. The only thing consistent about Liverpool is that we are inconsistent.

Beat Arsenal at the Emirates? No worries. Beat newly promoted Burnley? Naah.

I can sit here and analyse it but honestly where to start. It's just the same that happens year in and year out. I think we could have Mourinho, Guardiola, SAF or even Shanks as our manager and the same results would continue to happen.

Just god awful.

Also I mentioned this a few times about Origi starting over Sturridge and many of you have gone into bat for him but I think Sturridge is finished. He offers nothing. His attitude is poor and the injuries have taken their toll. He went from being super quick to not just been sort of normal paced, but he is now actually outright slow.

I dont think he will have much if any impact this season and will be sold next summer.

Also 4-3-3 is rubbish without Moreno and Mane who offer genuine width and pace.

We should have gone 4-3-2-1 and played Origi up top today. Instead we had an incredibly slow team.

Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge... all slow. Wij and Hendo behind them. Not quick.

A midfield three of Henderson, Wijnaldum and Lallana doesnt work. Henderson was garbage and doesnt deserve to be the captain. Not sure why we bought Wijnaldum or how he is supposed to fit in.

I've never been sold on Lallana and has no end product.

I know Mane was injured but Mane, Can, Origi, Grujic... those four improve our team. In for Lallana, Sturridge, Wijnaldum and Henderson.

No idea if that was just a bad day at the office or a look at things to come. We have started the season pretty poorly considering we've had a full preseason under Klopp to get things right.

The only small positive is that we have the same number of points I thought we would at this point of the season, it just happened differently than expected.

Hardest votes ever...

5 - Mignolet
4 - Lovren
3 - Ragnar
2 - Milner
1 - Grujic

What a shit show.
Interesting that you gave Migs max votes considering what I just saw on twitter.

That's also just a sensationalised but of media beat up. Look I dont huge rate Migs either and would rather have Karius in goal but you have to look at the five goals individually. He's not at fault for any.

Both goals against Burnley he could do nothing about.

The first goal against Arsenal is well hit across him right into bottom corner because Moreno is miles out of position and Lallana gives it away cheaply in midfield. Could he have saved it? Maybe but it would have been an absolute cracker of a save to get down for that. Not many keepers keep that out.

The second Arsenal goal is a deflection off of Lovren, he had it well covered before that. The third was just an absolute peach of a ball in which is ridiculously difficult to defend against. Any touch and it's in.

That graphic doesnt mention the shot on goal from Walcott from the spot which he saved either.

I'm not Mig's biggest fan but to suggest he has had anything to do with the five goals shipped in the opening two games is rubbish IMO.

The start of the window the priority was a midfield playmaker, a LB and a keeper. We got one of those

Most concerning thing is Burnley does not score that many goals and they could've had 3-4 yesterday
All Carra wanted at the Europa Final was a LB. He must be fewmin.

Oh, and if this state backed Chinese company gets into this club then that's it, I'm out

Do, not, sale any part of the club to them, not even the ******* coffee maker
Fenway say they are not selling.
