I find this crowd stuff associated with soccer so foreign to my Australian experience, when I've been to sporting events with mates who barrack for the other team, and moved in large crowds and never felt like I was in any danger. Being a Liverpool fan means that historical events add an extra layer of trepidation and anxiety. It's just a great shame, and the events in Paris outside the ground sort of set the tone for a disappointing night all round.

Hilarious to see a bunch of posters crawl out of the woodwork too to start trying to troll us. They've all been frightened to death for months that we would do the quadruple and now that we've come up short, they've come out swinging. Haha.

We live rent free. Hope we win everything next year too to keep them all miserable. :D

Originally I was thinking Diaz in Mane out and we'd be unlikely to sign anyone, but if we're losing Mane and Origi, with Minamino and Ox also tipped to be on the way out, I'm not so sure. We do look a bit light on in attack.

Diaz, Firmino, Salah
Jota, Elliott, Carvalho

Personally I think a Firmino type player as understudy or replacement in the starting XI is the biggest gap.

I thought during the final (and a few other games this season) we sorely missed Firmino's ability to make the ball 'stick' when played into the top of the penalty area, and to absorb pressure and bring others into the game in and around the area.

Mane has been a champion but I have to say I've been affronted by his behaviour leading up to the final.

Given his form in the latter half of the season we should be hardballing Bayern or whoever else has expressed an interest. If we don't get a fair price **** it, just tell him he's staying for another 12 months and see how much he's smiling about that.

This shouldn't be a "sell to buy" scenario. The club would've made a shitload from the CL alone this season and it should be reinvested in the squad.
Although I suppose the owners will argue we've effectively spent the money already on Diaz.

From my understanding several gates were closed (for what reason I have no clue), and only 2 were open, and supporters were funnelled into a small area. Then innocent supporters (including children) started getting pepper sprayed and tear gassed.

I must admit I find it hilarious that so many on here and mates in real life have been trying to hang shit on me about Liverpool missing out on the League and the European Cup and then having a parade for the two trophies we did win.

Particularly mancs who havent been relevant for a decade, won nothing this season and will be playing Europa League football next season. Spurs fans as well who havent won anything in like 50 years. Trying to throw shade when they have no legs to stand on is amusing.

We're rent free lads.

Peter Drury won’t be calling on Australian TV coverage, just signed with NBC. What a shame, he has nailed some iconic moments for us in last few years. Even worse if we cop more of Martin Tyler.
You're kidding, him and jim beglin were my favourite... Optus charging extra now.

Getting a worse product for a higher price...

Somehow every year Aussies get screwed with the EPL coverage.

We probably have it better than anywhere else in the world.

Every game live or on demand for $15 a month was unreal. The price rise is annoying but compare that to the UK who need to pay for Sky + BT and even then only get a handful of games a weekend. We also don’t have to put up with Martin Tyler for the big games.

Some vision of the shambles

Did you click on the second tweet and then press the back arrow at the top? Tweets from the Anfield edition talking about what Salah and Mane are demanding. This season is only getting worse as it finishes.
Mane wanted £393k/week. Part of it was compo for being criminally underpaid over the last several seasons. He’s only on £100k/week.

Isn’t he the one with an old cracked-screen iPhone etc, because he gives most of his wealth to his home community?
