Think we'll get like 35 mil for Sadio and that's about it, which hurts
Would expect us to go all out for someone like Darwin Nunez after that, think we can do a lot with a proper center forward. Hopefully Man Utd is too tied up with Frenkie De Jong

That would make way more sense. I hope he has been on 200K as he's worth it and to have parity or close to with guys like Mo and Virg is deserved for Sadio. I'm not quite sure what's going on with Sadio, he doesnt seem the type to be greedy so maybe he really actually does want a new challenge, but I dont buy that either as he's so loved here at Liverpool and he's a perfect fit here, surely he would want to stay.

I get it with Mo, love him too but he does drink his own bath water a bit and unlike Sadio is a bit of a big time celebrity with all the adverts and stuff he does commercially. I see him as a bit of a business man, setting up his brand for after football etc. So money talks with Mo. But Sadio just is so shy and different.
But who knows, I dont know either of them personally so it's just all guess work from everything I see from them over the years at Liverpool.

Nunez couldnt be further from a player like Mane or Mo though, it certainly wouldnt be like for like.
Perhaps they are thinking Nunez down the middle, Diaz left, Mo right with Jota to be able to play anywhere across the front three and Bobby backing up Nunez through the middle.
Diaz is probably the genuine Sadio replacement, the center forward would be the striker we actually need, with Divock gone and Bob gone soon/can't be relied upon

I think he’ll stay on the clubs books, just will decide if he stays or goes on loan and we get another backup on the cheap.

I knew Taki would be off this summer. Good business though as we will turn a tidy profit. Will need someone else to practically get us to the domestic finals now.

Surely if we sell Mane for 35m and Taki for 18m that means we can stump up 80m for Nunez. Will be annoying if we start piss farting around with low ball bids.
This isn't like the Diaz scenario where Porto needed money desperately for FFP reasons. With Nunez being hot property we're just gonna have to stump up if we want him badly enough.

It looks like we won't strengthen in midfield significantly if Nunez is purchased.
I reckon we should sign Eriksen on a two year deal as a stop gap and focus on bringing guys like Morton through. Need to sign Naby up to a new deal and Ox to go for anything north of 10m.
