The Suns were showing cracks before Booker's injury (they got thumped by Us and Dallas in one week 6 weeks ago)

CP3 being washed is a significant factor.
CP is declining for sure but book is their best scorer and draws most attention during games, without him there teams have nothing else to worry about.

There were cracks but they were still playing decent basketball they were on top for a few weeks wasn’t by a fluke.

Shows how valuable d-book is.

CP3 being washed is a significant factor.

In their game yesterday they were without their three best guards (Book, CP3, Payne) and 2 of their 3 best forwards (Johnson, Crowder).

There are clearly issues to resolve, but not many teams are going to survive those outs on a consistent basis.

But yes, having your leading scorer healthy makes players like Ayton and Bridges much more dangerous.

Injuries to key personnel, teams simply cannot afford as is evidenced the W-L records in their absence. Pelicans exempt

Our first win in Washington since 2011.

Baby steps with this franchise is an understatement.

I accept your point about everything except Crowder who is never playing for the franchise again (unless something extraordinary happens)

Hope their luck turns around though, but in such a star and talent laden league, even a couple of injuries to a couple of your best seasons for 3 or so weeks can really screw your season.

Crowder's obviously an anomaly, but he's still $10 mil out of their salary cap sitting in street clothes, a problem exacerbated by the fact that his logical replacement, Cam Johnson, hasn't played at all recently.

As I said, there are obviously issues there that need resolving, dating back to last season. Perhaps their championship window has passed them by. Don't think their current losing streak is an accurate representation of where they're at though.
