Game day baby!

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game was the least watched in league history with a combined 2.2 rating and 4.59 million viewers across TNT and TBS.

The previous lows were a 3.1 (2021 and 2022) and around six million viewers (2021).

Ratings declined 29% and viewership 27% from last year’s All-Star Game (3.1, 6.28M).

Stephen Curry missed the game entirely, while LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo exited early due to injury.

The game was marred by a lack of defense and general apathy from most players.

Sounds like a new way to miss games, DNP - general apathy

Carlton v Collingwood at the same time (or thereabouts) as Pacers v Celtics

Easy decision for me, Blues have basically a VFL outfit (due to injuries) v a full strength Collingwood in a dead rubber game, and Celtics have a date with destiny this season (championship number 18)

Easy decision for me what game to watch
Krep watching All Star Game MVP (and now highest scorer in an ASG in Father of Deuce) Tatum keep working his magic.

In a league where there is no more DNP due to load management for the league's biggest stars - it makes zero sense to have an All Star game in itself.

The NBA and hosting cities make literally millions of dollars each year doing it, I think one of the main problems this season was it was hosted way too late (with 2/3rds of the season completed or thereabouts)

Maybe it should be hosted after the finals or even in mid January...

Great Game Indy, a team on the rise in the East (much better future than the Knicks, Heat, Bulls etc)

Tatum had a crap 1st half but proved his MVP credentials in the 2nd half.

We got out of jail tonight, in many ways I think the Pacers were the better team (Halliburton is going to a massive threat for years)

Also for any Indy fans here, absolutely delighted that Nesmith looks like being a quality player for you guys, seems like one of those mutual win/win trades (Brogdon is a better fit for our championship window)

Really fun game
