This is even more true on The Block, where trying to complete a room in a week means everything is rushed, and sometimes, things are done poorly just to finish. I hope for a regular build where the trades have much more time to do the job right; there would be fewer defects than you see on this show. But some builders are dodgy.

They get held to such stringent compliance, surface defects I'd expect but structural I wouldn't.

On a build like this, they have all those foremen who ensure all work is done to Australian standards. So, I wouldn't expect any major issues with these homes. But rushed plastering and finishing, for example, can lead to defects, poor painting, etc., that would need to be fixed. Incomplete caulking—things that would happen because you're trying to present a completed room from frame to finish in one week.
When I said "dodgy builders," I was talking about home builders who don't have someone on-site to ensure everything is done properly (like a building foreman). You hear horror stories all the time of people being left with homes that are basically unlivable because of the poor job their builders did. But I wouldn't expect that on The Block.

While Dan is a qualified foreman, his job is more of an on-camera one. They have several other blokes working for 9 in 6 who are the real foremen on the site, like Aidan. There was another I saw briefly, but I forgot his name. Dan is under these guys in the pecking order.

It will rate well tonight. If the Reserves are set accurately its hard to see anyone besides Grumpys winning more than say $200k.
I am sure the buyers agents will push them up but none of them appeared to be outstanding. Mimi and Kristian maybe given their point of difference.
I'll be annoyed if Kylie and Brad win anything but they will probably win a 100k.

It has rated well throughout the season, always dominating the timeslot. Often over a million viewers. The smoky for me is H5 because it's different from the other houses.
I hope they all make some money. Yes, even Kermit.

I’ll watch the auction for the dayleford one next year but much like this year I have lost a lot of interest and won’t be watching the full season
