From what I've heard, many in the production crew were just over Kylie and her dramas by this stage, including Scotty. They had been bending over backward for her to try and help her, but the continued verbal abuse and bad attitude just wore them down.

Well, I don’t know.
I only half watch it, the wife’s the fan, and wouldn’t have it on if it was just me.
Kylie may well be difficult, and is probably of a personality type that Ch9 shouldn’t have on the show.
The non-judges on the Block may well have been super helpful.
When we come to the judges, that’s where the problem starts imo.
There tends to be a pile on by the 3 judges for anything they don’t like. Let’s remember that the judges don’t necessarily get it right. The winning house according to the judges doesn’t always sell at the highest price. A few series ago, in the Gisborne area, a house they were very lukewarm on, won the auction. 2 men were the designers from memory.

So, I think the judges have to be pulled into line, told to tone their opinions down, put away their super-sized egos (impossible perhaps), or replace them with judges less opinionated and having more empathy.

Th e fact that she said she went on the show for a holiday showed that she either ignorant of what the show is actually is or she’s very mentally unwell to think that a renovation show is an appropriate holiday …coupled that with her bullying behaviour and toxic behaviour towards everyone and everything and I’m inclined to believe that the problem isn’t the judges.

You just have to make the houses appeal to those 2-3 buyers every year no one takes the judges too seriously but I haven’t seen them go too overboard in their criticism personally.

Where’s the pile on? If they criticise dumb shit like changing a bedroom for an extension pool room that doesn’t function for high traffic with water then sorry that’s not a pile on

Just because one mentally sound toxic person has a meltdown doesn’t mean it’s the judges fault for the person not being suitable for that environment

They do and that’s not on the judges just doing their jobs that’s applied across the board …from all reports she treated everyone like shit so I have very little sympathy for her despite her obvious poor mental health

Three of the initial ten clearly weren't up to it. I am surprised they all got as far as they did given the testing you would expect they do.

Kristian was probably borderline at times but has made it through. I would think that's the worst you want to see.

You must understand that the judge's role isn't just about critiquing. They're also tasked with creating drama and pressure on contestants. This aspect of the competition, where the results are sometimes rigged to set up a storyline for the next week, adds a layer of difficulty for the contestants. It's a tough game to play.

I have read on gossip sites that Kylie and Brad will still receive any money they make even if they don't show up for the auction.

And who’s going to buy these places?
Very rich folk to use as holiday homes, perhaps as holiday lets.
Or people moving out of Melbourne for a quieter life.
But yes, a lot of maintenance both inside and out.
Also, as posted already the exterior appearance of 4/5 of the mansions leaves a lot to be desired. Kerb appeal, for me at least, is negative.

I don't think anyone would buy these houses to live in them. The market is for investors wanting luxury homes to rent as holiday homes.

Renting houses like these for a holiday would be way beyond what most of us could afford anyway.

Build multi occupier developments on each of the existing buildings.

You can’t tell me that the boys massive alfresco area that is being fully tiled, covered in skylights, plus everything else, is only 50 grand.
