I propose that in years to come, anyone who picks up a player purely on good performances in the first 2 rounds, only to fall flat on their face subsequently should be termed "The Brennan Folly" :D

Could easily fall below 200k!

It was always going to happen look at his previous seasons, i had him all last year and he frustrated the @!?! out of me. I just had to sit back and have a chuckle when people were picking him up. Even better one of my best mates did and boy is hhe copping it now in our league.

History rarely lies and like last year he played a couple of games that were 100+ just so happened they happened to be at the start of the season this year, he will get another couple of high scores so maybe its not all doom and gloom for those who have him...

There should be a somewhat nastier name for those of us who were fooled into trading for Brennan two seasons in a row!!

I jumped on the Brennan train after R2 and also caught the N Ablett train the same week.

Brennan has averaged 41 since I grabbed him. N Ablett has averaged 56 and one DNP.:( Great trades they were. I have dropped over 5500 places as well and lost two of my league matches.

And last week I traded out Kozi for Polak which cost me 41 pts but saved me $13,400 if I wanted to make the same trade this week.

I was also guilty of jumping on the Brennan trade after Round 2

I got on Monfries before the start of the season.

This week I made the following trades:
OUT Monfries, Brennan
IN Hughes (2nd bench player, promoted Davey to field), Milburn

Errors fixed, lesson learnt, 15 trades and $53k in the bank. Brennan effectively reduced my trades to 18 and hurt me in my 1 loss to date.

I had him in from the start and was doing plenty of chest beating in light of the first two rounds... However I have since upgraded him to The Chad. I will never pick him up ever again.

I fell for it - my only saving grace is I traded Hall for him

can we make a pact next year that no matter what goods news we hear coming out of brisbane about how good brennan will be, that we let it fall on deaf ears and never pick him up.

we should shoot down anyone who even whispers his name...

I wouldn't feel so bad choosing Brennan at the start of the season, he ticked all the boxes of an up-and-comer, had a blinder of a pre-season, moved to a new position he thrived in, had enough games under his belt to prove he's a weekly prospect, ended up having two great games at the start of the season...Just like countless others who went on to shine. Of course, being Jarred Brennan meant if he was going to be one thing it was erratic, and he didn't let us down in that department!

Of course, if he gets back to some some big scores over the next few rounds people will start bragging about keeping him, it's a fickle thing this Dreamteam world...
