The Bronny James debate

Has nominated for the NBA Draft but also in the transfer portal. Wasn't actually sure a player could do this but I like it. Alot of hate due to being the son of. Hard to know where he sits with so many bias views on either side. Was always going to get drafted if he got through his 1st year of college. Unfortunately the health issues have set him back and has had a below average 1st year?
I think a team should take him. Particularly a struggling market and team. You get LJ for 1 year atleast maybe more. And if they draft Bronny at a reasonable pick you aren't really wasting it. Most players don't work out as the draft deepens. He may take time but he'll be a serviceable player imo. Probably should enter the portal and go to a college team that he will be a leader at to guarantee a draft spot but LJ can't hold on too much longer. Even though he is performing incredibly for someone who is 39?
Still think Bronny should have played in NBL for 1 season

I am 100% in support of NCAA players getting their NIL deals and freedom in shopping schools or pro gigs, but as a long term fan of Tobacco Road basketball I still think college hoops were far more entertaining when you had teams that tried to play together to graduation.

fast athletic tops out 192shoeless and 6'7" wings and nba fast and vertical athletic , mvp in McDonalds 22 months back , sound defence , looking at ceiling of jrue holiday on D and teens on offense , only if given time to build his nba game , can he get the opportunity

but ... would not get the opportunity if not for dad

let's neutralise heartattack- that may be reason why he will never breakthrough

but I see andre miller 4 year graduate and maybe two years in a solid league like NBL Spain France Israel to build experience , money no option for jr

problem is at hs school the christianprepacademy just tooooooo unselfish cos he had to bow undercover on court because of dad

To be a pro , you need to be cutthroat cutthroat Alpha and hone the mental psychological skills like MJ and Mamba , Bronny by all reports a fantastic young man , like his dad is fantastic person considering all potential pitfalls, Bronnie too nice and never developed ratt cunning like pros have , sure he has gameIQ insight , but does he have will to steal another's dinner so he may instead

Interesting point about not having the ratt cunning the others may have. Does have everything he's ever wanted and generational wealth. But on the other hand LeBron would have taught him and told him how things were. Then we have him always going too be in his dad's shadow. Will that make him the best he can be or ruin him

Lebron 204cm 40inch vert , son 5 inches shorter and 5 inches less length on levers

Everyone even Giddey* in nba athletic

*concede Giddey w Jingles bottom 1% in nba

the true problem - you actually hinted at it the 3 children will inherit real-$-value of US$2 bill and w RichPaul&MavCarter sure to exponentially grow beyond that ^ real-dollar-value(time_adjusted)

Bronny jnr true problem is like King Charles' sons , agency autonomy and carving out your own identity , he never earns his first 100k buys his first home has a mortgage or a gf who is into him and not the accoutrements and fame of being Bronny jnr, he cants access authenticity can he , he is cypher for father , and prap's the grandfather who pissed off before LBJ born

<japaneseemoji:eyesateyebrows>

I expect he may get a couple of years in Australia or maybe China, be very ordinary, and then miraculously find himself on an NBA roster in a franchise owned by his dad.
Dad wants to play with jnr to create history that will not broken ,

if he wants to play long game in four years , he has athleticism , see:caruso Austin reaves , but that is too long for LBJ snr

He was mvp in McDonald's all-American game , which has 20 best seniors in hs , heart attack in Harold Miner's alma mater usc means on backdoor ±2 years retreat'ed

phenomenal athlete like dad

From what I've seen if the guy didn't have the dad he has he wouldn't even be considered.

Cant blame the kid for who his dad is, but I cant see him lasting in the NBA. Kinda glad for him that nobody went super early on him otherwise the criticism would be epic.
he did win MVP of McDonald's allamerica hs game

caveat , not a team USA tryout , not an NBA All-Star game , not preseason at Duke/Gonzaga or NBA G-league unite or LarryKestleman's NextGen on Perth/Adelaide/NZ/Illawarra .. but amalgam of characteristics of all ... w/O dad he needed to come slowly and develop w own team under his reins , hos younger brother may be better , you are right w/o dad never gets picked up (yet)

JJ Redick picked the wrong team , he needed to go to Charlotte or another team , Lakers will be too focused on a major star on down path , descent , he will be yoked on/by Jnr

I think JJ could be a good coach but it will be rough walking into this. I think everyone can now admit Bronny at best gets a summer league invite if his Dad wasn't Bron. Can JJ even send him to the G League or will that upset coach/gm Bron?

Didn't they say he won't sign a two way contract?
