Now this isn't a troll, but did anyone see Cale Morton literally scare himself silly after getting in a tustle with Brendon Lade, back away steadily and then proceeed to sprint away from him with Ladey chasing in close pursuit? I was seriously in tears of laughter watching this, as Cale is renowned for being one of the softer players in the league.

Now MCC Dees supporters, don't go telling me he was running towards the ball, he didn't want a bar of that fight! Even pulled up his shorts before the big sprint for safety

{yes it is}

i think someone in another thread said he ran off and actually got the ball.

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

Mate i watched it 10 times it was that funny and typical and no he didn't get the ball soon after.

He might of touched the ball 5 minutes later, but he was clearly running away from the monstering Lade whilst at the same time, making it look like he was "going for the ball".

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

No, he did go and get the ball...watch it another 10 times and you might figure that out...but then again, as a Ninthmond supporter, you may not know what someone actually getting the ball looks like......

You're an idiot, the play was still going on and he was simply getting on with it and ended up going to get the ball.

We were second in the AFL for disposals per game last year. Try again;)

No but I saw a smackhead snap a hammy, that was funny. ;)

Cheap, ineffective Bowden posesions across the half back line do not constitute going and getting the ball...

Like I said, Cale was going to get the ball, not lining up for a recievers possesion like Ninthmond players.

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

It was kind of funny to look at, but so what if a skinny runt decides he has better things to do than wrestle with a massive hulk. Big deal. He was clearly running to position to try and receive the ball. It was also quite funny looking at Lade trying to keep up with him, as he realised his meathead-pleasing molesting of somebody half his size had come to an end.

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

Looked like he was running away to get the ball, and I say that because they actually showed footage of him running away and getting the ball. Still looked funny at first though.

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

As anyone who watching at the time would know, the joke is on Lade. As he tried to punch on with a kid half his size Melbourne were winning the ball two metres behind him. Morton was giving it back until he saw this, turned around, outpaced Lade easily and won a possession on centre wing.

End result - Lade joins a long list if teammates who made absolute fools out of themselves trying to be tough, and Cale Morton got an easy possession.

Re: The Cale Morton Incident

I think it may have been a bit of both unfortunately. As Lade approached him he couldn't get out of there quick enough, he may have subsequently got the ball irrespective.
