I know next to nothing about them & plenty of others would be in the same boat.Setterfield and Walsh are both being severely underrated IMO. Both will walk into our starting midfield if they stay injury free!
In saying that it’s good there is finally competition for spots and depth.

Went with Kreuzer, Cripps, Dow and Kennedy in the middle
Bolton has to balance up the heavy lifters Kreuzer/Cripps/Kennedy and Ed against the second receivers Dow/Fisher/SPS/LoB/Murphy and then figure out how much factor X he needs in Cuningham/Pickett/Garlett/Fasolo - whilst considering Setterfield/Walsh and Stocker's development..
Winning the ball and moving it effectively between the arcs and into Mcgovern/Charlie/Harry's hands is the next challenge - hiding players like SPS/Fisher as forward pockets or HFF won't achieve that - these two are genuine play makers.
They need players to feed it to. Just as important as getting it.Cripps, Dow & Kennedy must be there for most center bounces in 2019. Can interchange Ed with Kennedy.
a lot of times in 2018 it was Cripps, Ed & Kennedy and it was a shocker.
Yes, we like to smash Essendon.
Who will snare the final two spots? Will the Carlton faithful ever agree on anything? Should I have a burger or pasta for dinner? And Does any of this really matter?*

Tuesday update: Midfield vote up in the air
The Carlton BF Posting Fraternity appear extremely torn regarding the Consensus Midfield selections for 2019.
All-Australian Patrick Cripps (100% votes), Paddy Dow (95.6%) and Matty Kreuzer (89.5%) are already locked in - booking their spot again for the final 22.
However the battle for the remaining four spots is far from over. Zac Fisher (75.4%) and Ed Curnow (73.7%) may have a mortgage on the next two spots on field, but the remaining players hoping for one of the final two positions at this stage include 2018 Captain Marc Murphy (67.5%), Matthew Kennedy (57.9%), the silky and durable Samo Petrevski-Seton (41.2%), #1 Draftee Sam Walsh (40.4%) and Will Setterfides himself (32.5%).

Probably very true, Matty may need to run it back in the opposite way and then average the teams to get a "true" concensusThe funny thing about this thread is that if we started with the forwards we'd end up with a completely different team.
SPS is Kaka, Hazard, Messi - let him play Mid/HF as the last pass to the goalkickers and tear the opposition to shreds
Hell, maybe we go bench first as well, just to really get some interesting resultsProbably very true, Matty may need to run it back in the opposite way and then average the teams to get a "true" concensus
There are a lot of combinations that could be thrown around for our midfield.
The reality is we'll have at least 10 guys running through the middle at various stages.
Will be interesting to see if Docherty moves further up the ground or remains stationed in defense.
Why? The great man is now working with the Carlton College. He is a legend of our clubYou really need to change your sig Juddy …..
I’m gonna go out on a limb, and say Cripps will be in the mix for our midfield group...The Defenders have Arrived
The people have spoken, and decided on our best 7-man defensive group for 2019. Missing out on selection, ex-Swan Nic Newman seems to be less preferred by the masses at this point - with young Tom Williamson the preferred seventh man. Chosen in the same position in 2018's Consensus Best 22, 'Willo' has incredible potential and could easily play right away if his health troubles are behind him.
The back six hasn't changed much at all in fact, with just the one change from 12 months ago - luckless Irishman and now retired defender Ciaran Byrne making way for new co-captain Sam Docherty. The same names are likely to grace the park should injuries be kind to us - with Jones, Weitering and Marchbank the talls and Simpson, Doc and the underrated Lachie Plowman the 3 smaller types.
Stay tuned for the midfielders as we launch into voting on Monday.
OP updated to reflect votes for defenders. All 7 players chosen will now be ineligible for other positions.
I’m leaving him out of the side completely. So you’re all good. Carry on..am I still allowed to post here if I start murphy on a hff?
