Yep it stopped the rot in the 2nd qtr. Good move. Can we get a refund on Monfries?
Didnt the Essendon supporters warn us about Monfries, now that he has his "Gold Card" just do nothing, i must admit he is very good at that.

And Schultz has two swans sitting on him the whole game. I think your suggestions make sense. Our coaching panel are looking more at run, but since that is really working well (sarcasm intended), why not try something different, like a second tall.
What's everyone's thoughts of playing Hombsch at CHF I love the way he hits packs and takes contested marks, I reckon he could become a handy link up forward. Jake Carlisle, Ben Reid, Harry Taylor, James Frawley, Daniel Merrett, are all examples of handy defenders becoming formidable forwards why don't we just take a punt
Only seen Shaw and Harvey a few times and both show promise... but I don't reckon either is ready yet.
In the games I've seen, Shaw has played more like a flanker than a tall. Hasn't presented himself or provided that tall option we're crying out for. Had a very dirty day yesterday. Didn't get near it.
Harvey spent a fair bit of time in the ruck yesterday. But he's got a bit of go about him.
I was stunned to see the Magpies forward 50 empty for large portions of the game...
Nah no point attempting to fix/change what isn't broken & mess with a very good young defender. What's everyone's thoughts of playing Hombsch at CHF I love the way he hits packs and takes contested marks, I reckon he could become a handy link up forward. Did you see Butcher play this year? And what role did he play?
Trengove our only back who is competent up forward, both Carlile and Hombsch have been tried forward with no success

It depends on if one of our backs gets traded to bring in a forward it may be something we could try with Clurey but by that time one of Harvey or Shaw would've likely come on.

With our gameplan, why would any kpf want to come and play for us?
Why would any key forward want to waste their careers playing for GWS' reserves side knowing they're no hope of ever getting a game ahead of Cameron, Patton & Boyd? With our gameplan, why would any kpf want to come and play for us?

Westhoff can look lost down there for a half at times too lolHombsch played there for a half or so against Essendon last year and from where I was sitting, he looked lost down there.
Haha I guess the KPF could sneak into that empty forward 50 and hope someone bombs it in
Hombsch is fast becoming the new Pettigrew...
Westhoff looked lost everywhere from 2008-12.Westhoff can look lost down there for a half at times too lol
Played forward against Essendon last year and was horrendous. Obviously not his fault, but he had no idea what he was doing.I have never seen Hombsch play for us up forward. Only saw him play a quarter up forward for sturt last year
watching jack yesterday I have the feeling he will become the ultimate swing man like cornes . great at chb right size to swing into the middle epic marker can kick wait and seeWhat's everyone's thoughts of playing Hombsch at CHF I love the way he hits packs and takes contested marks, I reckon he could become a handy link up forward.
