I guess that is one stat that Port don't have to worry about seeing as though Port have only spent a grand total of 2 weeks out of the last 37 actually inside the top 8 :D
Is that right !
That is a damning statistic!
Funny - but damning !

Greetings fellow football luminaries,

This Monday's discussion involves the deplorable crowds on the weekend. There were six games and we saw six shit crowds. Not one of them was up to Port's lofty average.

We saw the Crows attract the lowest Adelaide Oval crowd for two top 8 teams. We saw the 80,000 strong Collingwood army look more like Atahuallpa's army as only 20K turned up. Richmond did better but only the poor 28K seems to be the new Tiggie standard. GWS, a top 4 team, only 10,355. St Kilda and Geelong. Two Victorian clubs playing under roof in Victoria. About 14K each!!!! Hawthorn. Reigning premiers. 10K. That's right 10K.

Three of these clubs posted a financial loss last year. One of them has lost $11.1m in the last three years. They are not only a financial burden to themselves but the poor crowds detract from the broadcast spectacle, bringing down the value of broadcast rights.

If a club can't make a profit and can't draw a crowd should the AFL force these minnows to use bay covers? The AFL has to protect it's bottom line.

Why are you posting pictures of a SANFL crowd? This is an AFL forum.

Blockbuster fatigue?
After that start of games at the beginning of the year vs Swans and Cats, with the Magpies in the near future, the fans just doesnt give a crap about such an insignificant club like norf?

Adelaide vs North Melbourne - 37,890
Collingwood vs Fremantle - 20,320
Richmond vs Brisbane - 28,883
Greater Western Sydney vs Carlton - 10,355
St Kilda vs Geelong - 28,745
Hawthorn vs Gold Coast - 10,121

Yes D-flog we are the problem :$
wait, we brought more fans to the footy this week than Collingwood, Carlton and Hawthorn combined? (before some idiot points out im 4k off, i was ignoring sun, giant, docker and kangaroos fans

Ok let's get this fred back on track.
Q. Which team has the lowest Adelaide Oval AFL home crowd for a game between two top 8 teams?
A. The Adelaide Crows.
Why? Post your excuses here.
Thank you.
Q Which team has spent only 2 weeks out of the last 37 rounds actually in the top 8?
A Port

No wonder you've invented this stat because Port have been ineligible for the past two seasons :D

Speaking of low crowds against North

ut but but, it felt like an away game with the Crows building on one side

[ignores the fact it's like a 3km canoe trip from Port Adelaide down the Port river]

wow, its about the same distance from Port Adelaide to AAMI Stadium than it is from my place to Adelaide Oval. It was ****ing walking distance from Port Adelaide.

On that, I do find what Port fans were saying before the move ímagine footy in town, go out after the game. Ive been speaking to some business owners down the East End. Theyve noticed that after a Crows game it goes off and they get added business. After a Port game no one goes out. They all go home on the train.

Need to point this out to other fans if they want a full matchday experience. Come to Crows games.

You insufferable campaigner. Get over the crowd numbers obsession. Maybe focus on the fact that your team is a steaming pile of shit.

Haha. You stack a bet heavily in your favour and then try to bully me into taking that bet.

You're not only a cyber bullying but you're a bit dim to think I'll take it.

A bet on who gets the highest home crowd on our remaining games?

A fair comparison between home sides. He even gives you our lowest ever Adelaide Oval crowd in the mix, together with you getting the Showdown numbers (which will be at least 50k due to OUR supporters going to watch), and you claim the bet is stacked heavily against you?

GTFO flog. Clear admission that your team is a pile of shit and nobody wants to go watch them.
