Emma McKeon looks so fit. Was a little bit worried by her butterfly semi but she was obviously saving herself for the real stuff.
How many medals can she win?
4x100
100 butterfly
4x100 medley relay

Anything else? Is she in the 100 & 50m races?
Backstroke as well, maybe IM?

Bronze for Smith. Brutal from Thorpe though.
Thing is...just to make an Olympics is an amazing achievement that gives you a story to tell for the rest of your life. Went to an event where a guy who competed at ‘56 Olympics had everyone listening to his tales from back then and all he had to show was his team tracksuit but we all loved it, the kids all went outside and started races. Bronze medal is a great souvenir to bring home. I think overall the commentators are being really careful what they say after the shit they have copped in the past for saying stuff like “only a bronze medal”. Leisel Jones has been really positive about what a good effort it is for many of them to make the Olympics (nice to see someone with empathy for the athletes)

Agree, particularly these Covid-affected Olympics. What I like seeing, almost as much as Aussie athletes succeeding, is athletes of unexpected countries winning - like the Moroccan swimmer in the 400m free and the winner of the road race yesterday. Sporting endeavour is as important as medals at these games.

All the female expert commentators I've heard so far at these games have been impressive - Leisel Jones, Georgie Parker in the hockey, Anna Meares at the cycling. So far, so good.

Love it when someone from a small country wins a medal. Up against the big countries who spend millions on sporting programs. When that big guy from Tonga won their first ever medal in the heavyweight boxing a few years back it was so good.

Who won the road race yesterday??

yes, don't know that I'd be that calm and measured commentating on my own off spring's performance on the biggest stage.
Yeah even before Jess went down. Just explained everything simply without any bullshit.

Found this on the generic olympics website (not the Australian one);

Has all of the events with Aussies in them all listed with exact times. You can also click into each sport/event for live scores, qualifying result sheets and all of that sort of thing. 👌

Can even filter it by sport so all of the swimming with Aussies comes up or whatever. 😁
