Everitt for Simpson? Now that's an interesting one - an erratic footballer who can be a matchwinner for Mr. Consistency.

Geelong's first bid in the Colbert trade involved Simpson and that was knocked back straight away, so I suspect that the Roos would ask for Everitt plus a draft pick and/or one of the Saints youngsters.

I wouldn't see Everitt leaving Melbourne.

100% agree with you.
Just think that if he did his footy could improve from a consistency point of view.

Personally still think that Pavlich won't be at Port next year either, but from an imaginary point of view would like both Pav and Spider at Port.

If I were the relevant person at St.Kilda I would trade him for some other teams superstar but not just a good player. He is good enough to demnd a good price. I think he will play his best footy if he leaves St.kilda and only then. If he went to a Pagan or Malthouse club he would have to improve his approach to footy. I would love to get him at Collingwood next year if Malthouse could be confrident his mental approach would be inproved. He would be the ideal type of player but I have some doubts if he would be ideal personality to recruit. Collingwood should be prepared to trade for a quality ruckman. Spider would have to get fitter and a lot more more serious about football but if he did he would make a huge difference to Collingwood.

Personally, I don't think Everitt will be going anywhere. Listening to comments from Thomas and Butterss-both are adamant that he is staying-Thomas talking about his fitness/injury problems this year affecting his play. Of course nothing is a given in the AFL and things can change quickly, but with improving youngsters i.e. a bright future (and as long as the right culling takes place) Everitt may yet realize the faith the club has in him.

Who would listen to Butterss? But if the Fat Controller says so, then fair enough. He's doing a fair job down there.
