I was not comparing St Kilda to Norf, but reather Norf to Carltank

You are not doing it right
I like you Baldur but please don't compare us to Carlton. We don't cheat, we don't pay our players in paper bags ( we're NM remember) and our players don't masturbate in Lygon street.

Not in that manner, just that you are overating your team and coach. Otherwise I can understand your justifable distress at being compared to Carlolton.

I don't overrate our team.

On the weekend. even with Dal Santo we had less than 100 games of experience in the team more than on the park more than the dogs ( and only 250 games more on the park than the Saints had on the weekend) and our midfield is still pretty green.

But as the Saints are finding out, the only way to cure this problem is by playing your blokes and hope they take the next step with games under their belts.

"You" in the Norf flogs sense, not as much "you" in the "Royals1922" sense.

Now many flogs overate their teams list, just look at the St Kilda board. There are guys talking about finals. I tend to underrate St Kilda's, but that is becouse I am a sour grump. But I do think that the Norf fans in general rate their team higher then they deserve, almost as bad as the Carlton flogs, many of whom still think they are close to a flag.

People on the team board's have the roller coaster view of clubs, when they're good they are the top and when they're poor they're shithouse. Also a lot of the NM young players who appear to have been around for years ( especially the midfielders) have played 100 or less games and are still babes in the wood.

In this weeks dogs game, people forget that the dogs had boyd on 222 games, Cooney 203 games, Gia 252 games, Griffen 184 games, Minson 160 games, Morris 175 games and Murphy 251 games as 150 gamers while NM had Dal Santo 262 games, Harvey 364 games, Petrie 246 games and Wells 214 games as 150 gamers. FWIW, the Saints had as their 150 gamers Dempster, Hayes, Montagna, Ray and Riewoldt.

The Dogs have been severely underrated and were it not for a blancmange forward line, would be a reasonable team.

No excuses but the rebuild is still in place at NM.

I forgot this is the bay.

LOL norf

At least none of us have done that Melbourne did and gotten rid of all older guys and made a couple of wet behind the ears kids captain. FFS now wonder they are shite. Rebuilding their team on footings of sand.

LOL Norf

Learn Bay history before posting, n00b.
I have never known a person so obsessed with big footy as Bayer. From personal mesages trying to orchestrate flog of the year awards to posting on every thread, every day, forever. Seriously dude.....Life's more than big footy and hawforn dude

Tell me one supporter base who doesn't have high hopes for their team every year and consequently overrates them a tad?

Besides Saint supporters who would be better off holding their breath until they pass out than watching their team prance around the field.

We are shite now and we know it, the hope is we can rebuild while Roo is still there. Norf on the other hand are a little like Carlton. Norf thinks they have a team, but does not. Will fall apart when Boomer slows down, just like Carlton has now Judd is past it.
19 seasons and no sign of it yet

Yes we never had enough money to invest in Bay Covers.

Do I need to remind you of the words of Haysman from 2010:

"
Under a plan unveiled by the club today, the venue will go ‘back in black’ at Port Adelaide’s home matches.
Power Chief Executive Mark Haysman says the club wants to make the Stadium look and feel a much different venue to that which the Crows use.
“Our 2009 member research has reaffirmed that one of the biggest concerns for our fans is how AAMI Stadium feels as a ‘home’ venue,” Haysman said.
“The club has taken this on board and is tackling the problem of how we can add to the atmosphere at the stadium, providing a better experience for our supporters, and also making it more intimidating for visiting teams.
“This has included looking at other AFL clubs and experiences from overseas markets.”
Initiatives the club is adopting include:
- Further revamped entrances and ground branding on the outside of the venue
- More fan engagement outside and inside the Stadium
- Large ‘Back-in-Black’ guernsey themed covers over 12 underutilised seating bays
- Use of ‘The Hanger’ for post-match events to cater for more Power members

The seat bay covers will predominantly be black with the teal and white ‘V’, as in the example designs attached, but will also display some advertising to cover costs.
Haysman says the use of themed bay covers provides a great way to rebrand the inside of the stadium.
“The seat bay covers will really change the whole look and feel at the stadium and create a very unique atmosphere,” Haysman said.
“This has been successfully done overseas and we feel as a club this could put us in a ground breaking space within the Australian sports market.
“When we combine the covers with the crowd being encouraged to wear predominantly black, it will be a great new feel.
“Ironically we can do this because the stadium is too large for the club’s current needs; this gives us the opportunity to turn a disadvantage into an advantage"

Prance? Fremantle board, their coach prances. St Kilda marchs, Oh When the Saints go Marching In.
