Still traumatised from R1, i didn't even flinch on the back of being riled by workmates about the Big fellas enforced layoff whilst sipping my campbells Pea & Ham soup in the lunchroom yesterday. I couldn't help but think a recent chapter of the mighty RFC has been dogeared ready to close sometime soon but in a perverse way I am rejoicing inside, that necessity is indeed the mother of invention and out of the ashes our beleagured forward line will have a sense of freedom not seen since the fall of the Berlin wall. I've gotta tellya, I'm excited. Strap yourself in folks, I'm getting ready for the ride of my life, you better believe it:thumbsu:

I agree. I'm pumped after the last 2 weeks of form. I'm excited about how good Reiwoldt, Lids, Tambo and Cotch can be in 2-3 years. I'm pumped how much potential Mcguane and Rance have. I'm proud of what Jacko and graham have done in the last 2 weeks. I am fully confident Hughes and Thursfield will become 10 year players at either end of the ground. I put their 2009 form down to missing preseason so close to the season and Hughes is awakening as I speak. I see alot in Collins and Nahas and love watching Morton snap from the boundary every week. I see super improvement to come from Polo, Pattison and White. I see Thomson coming through too. Putt and Post sound very promising. Foley and Tuck will benefit most from all of the above :thumbsu:. I want 50,000 tigers at the G to ROAR the future home to a win against the Lions GROWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

WOW good to see a positive thread on the Richmond board at last:thumbsu:

I too look forward to resurecting the season and start racking up some wins back to back to back. We had a tough start and with the injury to richo the door of opportunity has opened up for someone.

Will it be Hughes, Schultz, Riewoldt, Post, Vickery ????

Will Delidio, Cotchin, Cousins, Coughland, Collins, White, Tambling etc step-up in the great mans absence and show some ticker????

What of our young rucks???? With Simmonds being dropped rather than missing through injury the youth ruck stock now realise they can be part of the future on thier own ability.

And of course Mr Oakley-Nicholls.......what is he about to do???? Unleash some speed and skills or shrink into the background????

Yes........The future starts NOW:)

Deluded fools

Stop kidding yourselves ... the future does not even remotely begin until the coaching situation is sorted .. until then its a holding pattern of charades and snakes and ladders

Would not be an easy place to positive at the moment , and thats just human nature

Cotchin coming backin will make a HUUUUGGGE difference , along with CUZ

Looking forward to and hopingthey stick Lids out front in a re-vamped forward line .... the two C`s coming back should allow this

........... I`m trying

you believe too much of the piffle you read on here partner, try telling andy collins and gus Graham that the opportunity in front of them is little more than a charade...richo's absense will create a chasm like the Grand Canyon that needs to be filled...thats the future

Your a ****ing idiot. Theres a difference between positive and plain moronic. Does it occur to you that people were tipping us to make the 8 and be smokeys for the top 4? Yet we are sitting 1-5.....

Take your glasses off fool. I'm looking forward to solving our forwardline woes with John Butcher, and a couple of indigineous recruits. Then the next draft getting a couple elite mids and whatever else we require to round off our list ready for finals and success.

You’re either a fool or a troll. Fancy pinning our hopes on some kid in the under 18`s as our saviour and as for the elites in the next (compromised draft) where are they going to come from? Get a grip you tool

Is this why Richmond supporters get so angry/upset etc, because we pump our players up so much over anything?

1) we are not tanking
2) wow drafting is so easy.
3) what do we do with all our current KPF if we manage to get Butcher(and he turns out to be the star you think he will), we have about 10.

Does it occur to you that people are tipping us for the spoon now! Yet we are sitting 1&5!

Who do you want to prove right or wrong?

The Bulldogs lost 5 of their last 7 from rnd 16 last year and made the finals. You give in too easy mate:thumbsdown:

As for John Butcher, we would have to lose our remaining matches to get pick 2 and hope Melbourne doesn't take him with pick 1. In the next draft the Gold Coast get pics 2,3,5,7,9. What elite midfielders would we get from the remaining picks?

What's wrong with some positivity, wanting to compete, wanting to WIN.

You have obviously been brainwashed by the other negative fools on this board who are affraid of success:(

That might have had some impact if the the Bulldogs weren't 13-1-1 with 7 rounds to go.

We want to compete, we want to win and we want to see the club become successful but we also realise that it just isn't going to happen at the moment.

lol now thats funny oh no everyone Hughes is awakening only taken what 3 years haha as iff. He kicks a bag of goals for Coburg Reserves and now he is the future for 10years. He needs kicks in coburg seniors first. John Butcher would be a good recruit for our forward line and unlike Cleve would have inpacts more often. Then again that wouldt be to hard to get one up on the Cleve man haha!

You guys sounds like the fat woman in the cheer squad who cheers goals when we are ten goals down.

You admire her positivity but you feel sorry for her aswell.

We are sitting 1-5 because our list isn't ready to be dominant you complete Moron. As for Round 1 we came with with half a dozen players with a lack of preparation

Well as long as Reiwoldt can stop reading his own press and Lids can focus for 2 hrs at a time we'll be getting there. As much as I love Richo, I can't believe it took sooooo*******looooong for this board to work out losing TBM might actually be a good thing.

I'm rating Hughes on his games last year. It's not his fault he missed a month before the season and had to come back through the reserves
