Excellent Turki wants to buy the major boxing promotions and have everyone under 1 banner. They've got $5B to buy a few up and firstly targeting Matchroom and Golden Boy. Queensbury be easy too given they work together

This could have always happened with boxing if someone had enough dough. It worries me a bit for one person to have that control but Turki just seems to want to put on the good fights so far.

I thought Usyk/Fury was pretty good but yeah the other cards are dead. They want to be a tourist hub so guess they're hoping people travel for the cards to liven it up but without booze the poms aren't as boisterous lol

They'll do more international shows though anyway. AJ is Wembley in September but promoted by Matchroom and the Kingdom of SA...

Look at Tyson Fury.. Resume Top 4 consists of 1. Wlad 2. Wilder 3. Whyte 4. Chisora... no where near good enough for who was regarded as the best of the generation by some only a month a go.

Yeah short term this will be brilliant but I think it could greatly hinder the pathway to become a 'name' too

Turki does well with big names by throwing money at them and getting them to fight one another. Completely different ball game building a star

It wasn't the resume for me on Fury, his 2nd fight on Wilder, when Wilder was still aggressive and not this washed bloke, was incredible.

AJ has a better resume though, as does Usyk now, and maybe even Parker. But that particular night from an eye test POV beats AJ and Parker. Usyk is incredible so who knows

AJ best wins
Parker, Wlad, Whyte?, Povetkin/Ruiz? He's added Wallin/Takam/Pulev which is the strength of schedule Fury lacks but does anyone think Fury doesn't beat those guys?

Wilder, Zhang, Chisora, Ruiz (Takam and Fa notables)

For every Inoue that fights title holders every fight there's 10+ where you struggle to find a 5th great win on the record. Sometimes the eye test still matters

Some fighters get away with it - Chisora still gets big fights, Zhang, Parker
Derevychenko seems to be in a title fight every 6 months too haha

Protecting the 0 can go imo, how many fans care about it really? They all just want to see a good dust up

There is a good argument bar the golden age of the Heavyweights guys like Louis, Tyson , Holmes and even working back Dempsey all dominated and beat average to ok guys .

What Fury did is no different to what most champions have been doing for over 100 plus years . Cash in while your the champ.

Matias is brilliant. Pressure fighter who makes people quit but does get hit. Paro will need to land something heavy early

Dont think Martin has much for Tank tbh
