I will have my cake and eat it too; would prefer a loss to Hawthorn but a win against Freo.I reckon every single WA fan if asked would rather a loss to Hawthorn in a GF than their WA opposition?

That's Sydney's game style not norths. North regularly score over 100 points, I love how you use one game where North still scored 80 points which is more than most teams kick and was a down night for north offensively.Last nights game was boring and it was close till the end.
This crap again. Can't wait until next weekend when at least half your prediction is wrong. Unless you've got more reasoning for North over WC than "the talls! the talls!", despite the fact they had relatively minor impact in the last match and aren't the only tall forward line we've tussled with this year.Hawthorn vs North Melbourne
No doubt in my mind

In any case, most factors indicate WC v Hawthorn, but I could also see Freo grinding out a pretty ugly win next weekend, and the derby grand final. Quite confident North won't get there.
I hope your right mateI just think North Melbourne will match up better in most parts of the ground. When looking at key matchups I see Kennedy and Darling with reasonable opponents while fails to see that on other end of the ground. Midfield battle edge I give to Kangaroos and think Goldstien will have Nic Nat covered well. North Melbourne by 8 points
Hawthorn will beat Fremantle by least 50 points, as Fremantle don't think even capable to kicking 50 points
I don't think that means much to be honest, especially considering that this will be played at Domain with Freo having had a week off.Fremantle were torn apart by Hawthorn the last time they played. Even with the week off I will be tipping Hawthorn.

McGovern>Any North key defender, thus AA nomination. Schofield and Sheppard have had better seasons than any North defender bar maybe Tarrant. This statement highlights just how little football knowledge you posses.
as you already don't know. Scott Thompson AA in 2013
could you make a more invalid argument? two years is a long time in footy. Thompson isn't that good.

dude your comments here are somehow further damaging the carlton brand
Why is he no good? North are playing in a Prelim so must be safe to assume they have a few decent players. Your case is invalid
Hawthorn vs North Melbourne unless you can come up with an argument that can convince me
For one we have the best forward in the game. His name is Josh Kennedy, maybe your struggling to come to terms with this because he left your mob. Secondly not only do we boast a wealth of quality key talls we are also fortunate to have brilliant small forwards like Hill, LeCras and Cripps who have kicked a mountain of goals between them. If im to keep going we have a Brownlow medalist who will help us win the midfield battle, along with AA Gaff and our barometer in Luke Shuey who tore the Hawks a new one last week. Then finally we have our defence, who play together with great cohesion lead by our skipper Hurn and our potential AA key defender in McGovern. Statistically im pretty sure we are the third best defensive group in the comp behind Freo and Hawthorn. If that isnt enough to convince you we will beat North Melbourne (which it probably wont knowing you) nothing will.
Not a bad argument been seeing North Melbourne last 2 weeks has been very impressive. Richmond and Sydney wins will give North Melbourne confidence heading in to West Coast knowing they can win away from home and like the Eagles being well rested not to mention injury clouds over Masten, Priddis and Schofield
Will be a very close, West Coast or North Melbourne by a margin of 8 points
Can we agree on this? Will be very close game unlike the Hawthorn Fremantle game which will be a blowout game
any evidence to back up Schofields amazing year? his 11 disposals and 4 marks a game? Enlighten us Mr. football knowledge or are you like every other west coast supporter and overrate every player on your list?McGovern>Any North key defender, thus AA nomination. Don't mind who we play if we make it.
But Hawks Vs North would be huge
Anyone anywhere.
North vs Hawthorn would be the most exciting, especially from a Melbourne perspective.
I don't really care for interstate sides and the buzz isn't the same when they are in the grand final. Really just a massive let down if it's west coast and freo.
I used that as an example as its the most recent. Obviously you enjoy them but as an outside watcher i find them average to boring whether they score a little more or not. My opinion couldnt care less if you disagree. That's Sydney's game style not norths.
