Frosty was already a player at the Furies before he was given captaincy.

If you’re not concerned that your club is so inept at leadership that they have to bring in someone externally to captain, then that’s on you.

IMO the role of Captain should be taken with some respect & not given to an outsider who doesn’t know the club dynamics and culture.

Are you suggesting that ImissFrosty was a light saber? He was an existing Furies player who fitted the “young Furies” approach at the time; especially as the Furies knew that Turbo, Ned, EJ & Bono were all going to leave when the OOB’s were approved.

In contrast, Greenery ‘s posting history doesn’t fit the Bombers posting style or club culture. Greenery ’s best posting has been when he has been alongside other members of the NC.

As I said above—- Captains should represent a club & lead culture. In the same way Tigerturbulance is the perfect Head Boy at the OOB’s, tony the Mafia Boss encompasses everything the Bears stand for, and how Headless leads the Demons from the front.

The Bombers should be led by someone who is iconically a Bomber; not former member of the Nerd Club who has had two short stints captaining clubs previously only to leave
its not often, well I cant think of a time in the last 5 seasons I have agreed with you, but here we are with me nodding my head in total agreement with what you are saying Senor M

WEl lfinally a good post from yourself that makes great sense and you seem to agree with all i wrote , but obviously didnt interpret my words to mean what you wrote.

Many in this thread and others go on and on about winning the premierships due to their GREAT CAPTAINS. Nope nothign to do with them it jsut a SIM

But we agree that the CAPTAIN does and should have the biggest impact on keeping his group together. Encouraging in the TEAM PM. not allowing in fighting

You see i may be terrible on a Social Media forum where nothing is real. but i have been a manager in Oil and Gas Industry for over 25 yrs and worked in same for 40yrs. So i do know much more than people think i do about LEADING, Motivating and so on an so on. Real life is much easier than Social MEdia. Here people come to battle a lot. In real life i find most people are good inside and want to do right thing, so it jsut a mattr of findinf what motivates them and then allligning it with the Companies Goals and get all going in same direction

Having coached all levels of Football for both men and women i used the same leadership style there.

So good that we agree in the principle of what a captain does. Or should do.

Dont get focused on the SIM. Focus on making people feel part of the team
CAAARN THE MIGHTY RAZDAD!!

Yeah but this isn’t the 1800’s anymore grandpa

If you cannot entertain the idea that someone from outside a club might be able to offer something that cannot be sourced from inside the club, you are more backward looking than first thought.

Pretty sure anyone taking on the role of captain takes it on with some level of respect and good intentions. Otherwise, why the **** would you sign up for all the extra workload?
& not given to an outsider who doesn’t know the club dynamics and culture.
So are you suggesting that there hasn't been a single incidence of an outsider taking over a club and making it successful in the 38 seasons of the SFA?

I find that very hard to believe.

Jab, I get you are protecting your club but melty has a valid point. You do know the sourced captain from another club was a person who didn't post and went missing at the last club they led, strange flex to try and support the so called leader of your club.

Gotta be a first time for everything, let’s play along and see.

Yelp.

Don’t reckon that a Bombers captain has stopped posting and gone missing from the club since … just checking … hold for one more second please … oh, since last season.
strange flex to try and support the so called leader of your club.
Why would I not support whoever is leader of the club I play for?

Strange flex to suggest I become disloyal simply because you have an issue with a player that is not even from your club. Why are you so adamant that the Bombers treat someone the same as everyone else has? That suggests setting someone up to fail and I would be disappointed if you thought that was how I operated.
